ADJUSTABLE MATERIAL CONVEYOR
20180050399 · 2018-02-22 · ·

A portable adjustable conveyor for use with a power tool for cutting a work piece. The portable adjustable conveyor has a one piece frame formed from a base plate integrally connected to first and second guide plates. Each guide plate has first, second and third groups of vertically aligned alignment holes oriented on a diagonal configuration to each other and spaced centrally in each guide plate. A removable roller engages between pairs of vertically aligned alignment holes in a first, second or third group of offset holes. The portable conveyer enables the power tool to process a work piece and reposition the work piece in less than 90 seconds repeatedly using different pairs of longitudinally aligned alignment holes with the removable roller as well as reduce static in the work place and increase lumens to the workpieces, all simultaneously.

Method and apparatus for 3D printing using a stacker

A stacker for a 3D printer apparatus contains a positioning conveyor and a support plate hinged to drop on a signal, whereupon a push plate will push a printed and powdered sheet downward and onto registration pins, to form a stacked register of such sheets.

HORIZONTAL INTEGRATION TOOLING FOR LAUNCH VEHICLES, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20250011007 · 2025-01-09 ·

A representative system includes an alignment tool for aligning attachment interfaces of horizontally-oriented launch vehicle portions. The tool can include a receiver assembly for connecting to a first launch vehicle portion and an actuation assembly for connecting to a second launch vehicle portion. When a first connecting element of the receiver assembly is engaged with a second connecting element of the actuation assembly, the second connecting element can apply force to the receiver assembly, and the actuator assembly applies an opposite force to the second launch vehicle portion, to align fastening features in the launch vehicle portions and/or to reshape the launch vehicle portions. A representative method includes connecting the alignment tool to the launch vehicle portions and operating the tool to apply oppositely-directed forces to align the launch vehicle portions for installing fasteners to connect the launch vehicle portions. One or more bracing beams can connect two tools together.

Systems and methods for multi-hole assemblies with angular adjustment and locking

A dual-sleeve, locking adjustment arrangement includes a position-sensitive component comprising an aperture, an outer eccentric sleeve disposed in the aperture, and an inner eccentric sleeve disposed in the outer sleeve. Rotation of the outer sleeve with respect to the position-sensitive component and the inner sleeve drives rotation of the position-sensitive component to adjust an angular position of the component.

Power tool angle assist

Power tool methods and systems are provided for aligning a power tool to implement an angled cut in a workpiece. The power tool includes a first distance sensor and a second distance sensor. The power tool measures a first distance to the workpiece with the first distance sensor and a second distance to the workpiece with the second distance sensor. The power tool calculates an angle between the power tool and the workpiece based on the first and second distances, and indicates the angle via an angle output indicator of the power tool. The power tool may measure an angle between the power tool and the workpiece using a proximate edge and a distal edge of the workpiece, and indicate whether the power tool maintains a correct angle as it traverses a cut through the workpiece from the proximate edge to the distal edge.

PIN PLATE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF AN ARTICLE
20170224058 · 2017-08-10 ·

An apparatus for aligning materials in order to construct an article is provided. The apparatus may include an array of moveable pins and a solid plate having an array of holes, where the array of holes is aligned with the array of pins. Each pin may be extended and/or retracted by a programmable actuator array. When a pin is extended, at least a portion of the pin may extend through the hole with which it is aligned, such that at least a portion of the pin extends beyond the solid plate. A fraction of the total number of pins in the array of pins may be extended by the programmable actuator array. The particular pins that are to be extended may be based on a pattern for an article. A material that is to be used in constructing the article may be aligned using the extended pins.

A guidewire insertion tool includes a sidewall defining a passageway having a first open end and a second open end and a neck therebetween. The passageway tapers from the first and second open ends to the neck. The sidewall has a slit extending longitudinally along the sidewall. A tab is adjacent one of the first or second open ends for removing the tool from a guidewire through the slit.

Method for Installing an Add-On Part on a Vehicle Body
20170174279 · 2017-06-22 ·

An add-on part on a vehicle body, where a plurality of body hinge halves are each installed on the vehicle body using a first reference point system comprising body reference points, at least one vehicle transverse axis coordinate of the installed body hinge halves is measured, a plurality of add-on part hinge halves are each installed on the add-on part by using the first reference point system and a second reference point system comprising add-on part reference points, at least one correction value for the add-on part hinge halves with regard to the transformed arrangement of the add-on part hinge halves in the vehicle transverse axis is determined from the measured vehicle transverse axis coordinate of the body hinge halves, and the at least one correction value is used in the installation of the add-on part hinge halves.

SUPPORT PIN ASSEMBLY, SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

There is provided a support pin assembly for full size determinant assembly of an aircraft structure. The support pin assembly includes a block having a vertical bore and a horizontal bore; a bushing within the horizontal bore; a barrel nut having a cylindrical body within the vertical bore and a barrel nut hole; and a pin. The pin includes an insertion portion within the bushing, an interface element, and an extending portion having at least one protruding circumferential portion having two or more flat surface portions on opposing sides to enable rotation of the pin. The at least one protruding circumferential portion is positioned within a hole in a frame section of the aircraft structure, and provides nominal adjustment of the pin, so that with any binding condition of the pin, the pin is released by rotating the pin via the two or more flat surface portions.
