STAGE MECHANISM
Provided is a compact stage mechanism entailing little backlash and little play in a direction along the axis of a feed screw.
A stage mechanism 10 includes a feed screw 11, a fixed stage 13 having a space portion 13a incorporating the feed screw, a movable stage 15, and a backlash absorbing portion 17. The feed screw has a first end portion 11d and a second end portion 11e. The stage mechanism further includes a deviation preventing portion 19 preventing the feed screw from deviating in a direction toward the first end portion and a pressing force adjusting portion 21 adjusting the pressing force by which the feed screw is pressed in a direction from the second end portion side to the first end portion. The deviation preventing portion is in contact with a wall 13b of the space portion on the first end portion side. The pressing force adjusting portion is in line contact with and presses the second end portion.
Indexing device
The present invention provides an indexing device for a turntable which is provided with a plurality of roller followers arranged at equal angular intervals; a cam component is provided on one side of the turntable. The cam component is provided with a first side rib wall with a continuous cam curved surface in a first direction and a second side rib wall with a continuous cam curved surface in a second direction, and the first side rib wall and the second side rib wall face opposite sides to form a cam groove with a variable groove width for guiding the movements of the roller followers and rotating the turntable; wherein the first side rib wall and the second side rib wall can compress on at least one pair of the roller followers of the turntable symmetrically in the first and second directions, so as to effectively eliminate the backlash problem between the cam component and the roller followers and improve the positioning accuracy of the turntable.

TOOL REST FOR MACHINE TOOL
A tool rest for a machine tool, with a plurality of rotary tools and a tool-rotating drive shaft supported rotatably so that its rotation is transmitted to each rotary tool. The tool rest includes: a plurality of input portions fixed to the tool-rotating drive shaft; and engaging portions corresponding to the respective input portions, rotatably supported and adopted to be driven in rotation by the input portions for engaging with engaged portions of each rotary tool to transmit power when a prescribed rotational phase is reached. Adjusting means is provided between a prescribed input portion and the engaging portion, for adjusting the phase of the engaging portion relative to the tool-rotating drive shaft such that the engaging portions and the corresponding engaged portions are engaged simultaneously.
Apparatus for operating main shaft of machine tool

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING CHARACTERISTICS OF A ROTARY TABLE
A rotary table (10a) for a milling machine, comprising sensing means (30,32) configured to measure and/or calculate a clearance between two mating components of said rotary table (10a), and transmission means configured to transmit said measured/calculated clearance to a central processing unit. The mating components of the rotary table being a worm screw and a worm wheel.
Tilt device for machine tool
A tilt device includes: a drive motor that provides a drive force for swinging a tilt member; an auxiliary cylinder coupled to the tilt member to assist swing of the tilt member by the drive motor; and a control device that performs drive control of the drive motor and the auxiliary cylinder. In the movable range of the tilt member, a moment about the swing axis generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force is always directed to only one side in the rotational direction, and an assistive moment about the swing axis provided to the tilt member by a cylinder pressure is always directed to only the other side in the rotational direction. The control device fluctuates the cylinder pressure such that the assistive moment is less than the moment generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force.
