The support assembly additionally includes a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the support arm with respect to the base element in at least two different relative pivotal positions. Furthermore, a guiding assembly for a cutting tool as well as a use of a guiding assembly is presented. Also, a use of a support assembly is described. Moreover, a method for operating a guiding assembly is explained.
