AIR BALANCE MECHANISM AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING POSTURE OF THE AIR BALANCE MECHANISM
An air balance mechanism includes a plate part, fixed shafts, and movable cylinders. A flange is provided at one end of each of the fixed shafts. The movable cylinders are movable relative to the fixed shafts. A space is formed below a lower surface of the flange. Further, the air balance mechanism includes fixing bolts and adjusting bolts. The fixing bolts fix the flange and a plate part at positions different from the space. The adjusting bolts are inserted into the plate part through the space for allowing the postures of the fixed shafts to be adjustable.
Counterbalance and drive system for machine slide mechanism
A counterbalance and drive system for a machine slide mechanism includes a counterbalance system having a first flexible connector suspended from a machine mount and interconnecting a slide mechanism and a counterweight and a drive system having a second flexible connector suspended from the machine mount and interconnecting the slide mechanism and the counterweight. The drive system includes both a drive motor operatively engaged along a length of the second flexible connector for vertically displacing the slide mechanism and a compliant connector operating within a limited range of compliance that imparts a regulated amount of tension along at least a portion of the length of the second flexible connector between the engagement of the drive motor and the counterweight.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool for chip removal processing has an upright, a bench and a machining group. The upright has a prevailing extension along a vertical axis orthogonal to a base plane, a front side lying on a front upright plane and a rear side lying on a rear upright plane. The front and rear sides are connected to each other by a right side and a left side. The bench has a prevailing extension along a longitudinal axis and is suitable to be fixed to the base plane. The machining group, connected to the upright to be translatable along the vertical axis and an advancement axis, is suitable to perform chip removal operations on a workpiece. The upright has a front pair of vertical translation means and a rear pair of vertical translation means that adjust vertical translation of the machining group and keep the machining group orthogonal to the vertical axis.

A drilling and tapping machine includes a power head assembly supported at a vertical orientation, a parallelogram arm structure including a head support and an arm base, and an arm positioning assembly coupled with the head support and the arm base support for guiding corresponding movements of the head support and the arm base support so as to ensure a vertical trajectory of the power head assembly. The machine further includes a counterweight configuration to vertically move the power head assembly via a lever. The machine further includes an operational control assembly to selectively shift the power head assembly between a drilling operation and tapping operation. Therefore, the machine is suitable to make a hole with a diameter of 0.5 to 3 mm.

An apparatus for cooling a ram spindle and compensating for a load comprises a saddle installed to be transferred along a cross rail; a ram spindle installed to be transferred along the saddle; a transfer unit configured to transfer the ram spindle relative to the saddle by means of a box guideway; a cooling unit configured to cool the ram spindle; and a load compensation unit including gibs and configured to adjust a load applied from the ram spindle to the saddle, wherein the gibs are provided as a plurality of gibs provided inside the saddle, disposed between the saddle and the ram spindle, except for a reference surface with which the ram spindle is in close contact, and installed to correspond to the reference surface in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction.
