Internal grinding device for pipes and weld joints

A method for treating an interior weld joint located along an inner surface of a pipe includes the steps of: (a) advancing an internal grinder device within the pipe to the interior weld joint, wherein the internal grinder device includes a hollow housing that has a first open end and a first grinding implement that is disposed within the hollow housing and coupled thereto with a first biasing member; and (b) controllably rotating the hollow housing to at least a threshold speed at which time and under centrifugal force, the first grinding implement moves from an at rest retracted position to a deployed position in which the first grinding implement extends radially beyond the first open end for contacting and grinding the interior weld joint as the hollow housing and the first grinding implement are rotated.

Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for suctioning dust from a working region of a machine tool. The device includes sealing caps which can be connected to a dust suctioning device via suction connecting pieces. Furthermore, the sealing caps are used to seal the working area in which the working process of the machine tool is carried out.

A suction-extraction adapter for a drilling tool has a housing and a tool connection unit. The housing has a suction-extraction device interface for the detachable connection of a suction-extraction device to the suction-extraction adapter. The tool connection unit enables the axial fixing of the suction-extraction adapter on the drilling tool. The housing also has a locking mechanism. The tool connection unit is configured to be locked on the housing of the suction-extraction adapter via the locking mechanism.

A filter is removably attached to the power tool housing. The filter includes a filter media configured to separate the debris from the flow of fluid. The filter media includes a collection container configured to store the debris. The filter also includes an opening in the filter media through which the flow of fluid with the debris enters the collection container, and a valve that is moveable between a closed position and an open position.

The outer wall forms an elongate vacuum cavity between an inlet proximate to the guide foot and an outlet distal from the guide foot. A vacuum hose connector is positioned at the outlet distal from the guide foot.
