SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING HEMP EXTRACTS AND COMPOSITIONS
A method for producing full spectrum hemp extract comprising extracting substances from Cannabis-based green material that are soluble in an extraction solvent and collecting an extract that includes the extraction solvent distilling at least a portion of the extraction solvent which results in a concentrate that is not distilled off, removing at least a portion of water soluble substances from the concentrate by partitioning the at least a portion of water soluble substances into an aqueous phase and a remainder of substances from the concentrate into a partitioned concentrate, heating the partitioned concentrate to evaporate the nonpolar solvent and to yield a crude oil, degassing the crude oil by heating it which results in a degassed crude oil, performing a first pass distillation at about 150 C. and collecting a first residue, performing a second and third pass distillation at about 170 C. and about 185 C., and collecting a distillate from same.
Calming composition
Certain embodiments of the present invention relate to compositions for calming and de-stressing animals. In particular, but not exclusively, certain embodiments of the present invention relate to compositions comprising valerian oil.
METHOD FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING ULCERATIVE COLITIS AND METHOD FOR DAI REDUCTION
The invention discloses a use of a mulberry (Morus alba L.) extract, including a method for treating ulcerative colitis, a method for preventing ulcerative colitis, and a method for reduction in Disease Activity Index, DAI. The use is application of a mulberry extract to the preparation of a product for treating and/or preventing ulcerative colitis. The invention experimentally demonstrated that positive drug group, SZ-A-1, SZ-A-2, SZ-A-3, SZ-A-4 and SZ-A-5 (pretreatment) could each significantly inhibit colonic atrophy in UC model mice, and the effects in SZ-A-2, SZ-A-3 and SZ-A-4 groups are comparable to that in positive drug group, with SZ-A-5 (pretreatment) achieving a superior effect to the positive drug. The mulberry extract of the invention, as a component derived from natural plants, has unique advantages of small toxic and side effects, mild and lasting actions etc.
Method and system for processing whole hemp stalks including extracting oil from processed hemp
A method and system for processing whole hemp stalks is disclosed. The method and system use an entirety of the whole hemp stalks in producing the particulate hemp such that the particulate hemp comprises both bast fiber and shive of the original whole hemp stalks. Additionally, hemp crumbs or crumbles may be processed from whole hemp stalks, or from particulate hemp which is larger than the hemp crumbs such as hemp pellets. The hemp crumbs may be formed by crushing the hemp pellets.
