CLEANING APPARATUS AND CLEANING METHOD

A cleaning apparatus removes foreign objects adhering to the inner surface of a hole in a machine component, such as an internal thread. The cleaning apparatus includes a suction pipe including a suction port at its distal end, a suction nose located at the distal end of the suction pipe for holding the suction port in a manner retractable along an axis of the suction pipe, an exhauster connected to the suction pipe, and a lance having a distal end extendable along the axis of the suction pipe inside the suction pipe, and having an orifice.

SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GUIDED TOOLS

The present disclosure is directed to calibrating position detection for a tool. The tool can use a sensor to detect a first value of a parameter. The tool can use a motor to extend the working member of the tool towards a working surface. The tool can include a base. The tool can detect, with the working member in contact with the working service, a second value of the parameter. The tool can determine a z-axis position of the working member relative to the working surface.

Cyclonic air-cooled microgravity mill

Disclosed herein is a cyclonic system for performing subtractive machining in microgravity systems. The cyclonic system comprises: an enclosure, a blower, and a debris collection module to collect the debris from the milling machine. The enclosure includes a top plate, a base plate, and a tapered side wall joining the top plate to the base plate. The enclosure defines a chamber to house a milling machine having a cutter tool. The blower generates an airstream that induces a cyclonic airflow to achieve cyclonic separation of debris within the enclosure. In operation, the cyclonic airflow urges the debris from the milling machine toward the base plate and into the milling machine.

Air cooled spindle exhaust air redirection system for enhanced machining byproduct recovery

A drilling byproduct recovery system employs a vacuum shroud positioned adjacent a workpiece. A spindle extends from a base and engages a tool. The spindle vertically reciprocates the tool upwardly through an aperture in the vacuum shroud to engage the workpiece. A circumferential air jet is emitted proximate a base of the spindle and directed toward the vacuum shroud.

The present invention relates to a drilling tool and method for modifying a blind hole in a blade root insert of a wind turbine. The invention further relates to an apparatus and method for cleaning a blind hole. The method for modifying a blind hole comprises: removing a blade screw located in the blind hole, inserting a drilling tool into the blind hole, fixing the drilling tool in a drill, recessing the blind hole by a predetermined depth, with a maximum diameter of the end section and of the hole bottom after recessing being smaller than or equal to a diameter of the end section prior to recessing and a transition from the end section to the hole bottom being round after recessing, removing the drilling tool and the drill, mounting the blade screw in the modified blind hole.

Portable working machine

A cyclone separator having a circular cross section is arranged upstream of an air filter. An introduction passage extends from a branch air inlet, which is provided at a position displaced from a main passage, to the cyclone separator. A margin space where at least part of air introduced in the introduction passage flows is formed in the introduction passage before the cyclone separator. A swirl flow occurring in the cyclone separator starts at this margin space.
