PROCESSING APPARATUS
A processing apparatus includes a processing unit, a control unit, and a temperature detecting unit. The processing unit includes a cutting blade and a spindle assembly, the spindle assembly including a spindle having the cutting blade mounted on a distal end of the spindle and a spindle housing through which the spindle is inserted. A cooling fluid passage is formed in the spindle housing, the cooling fluid passage cooling the spindle assembly, and having one end connected to a cooling fluid supply source and having another end communicating with a cooling fluid outlet of the spindle housing. The temperature detecting unit detects the temperature of the spindle housing. The control unit determines whether a state of cooling of the spindle assembly is normal or abnormal on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detecting unit.

A control method for a power tool for rotary tools comprises rotating a tool holder continuously about a working axis by a rotary drive. A rotary movement of a handle about the working axis is sensed by a motion sensor. A first angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a first motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath a limit value are discounted. A second angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a second motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath the limit value are taken into account. A measure for reducing the torque output of the rotary drive is activated when the first angle of rotation exceeds a first triggering threshold (A1), and when the second angle of rotation exceeds a second triggering threshold (A2) and at the same time a power output of the rotary drive exceeds a power threshold (L).

In monitoring the machine space of a processing machine during the throughput of workpieces in order to detect workpieces that got stuck, the rear end of a workpiece with reference to the transport direction generates a start signal in the inlet region of the machine space, as well as an end signal in the outlet region thereof by sensors that are connected to a control unit. Beginning with the start signal, the control unit detects a feature that characterizes a theoretical feed travel and generates a release signal if the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached at the time, at which the end signal is generated, a predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded a predefined upper limiting value or if the end signal is generated at a time, at which the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached the predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded the upper limiting value.
Chip conveyor and machine tool
A chip conveyor includes: a cover body; a guide plate configured to guide chips, which are conveyed inside the cover body, so as to be directed from a chip receiving position toward a chip discharging position; a case attached to the cover body and having an internal space provided therein; and a float switch configured to detect, based on a coolant flowing from inside the cover body into the internal space, that a liquid level of the coolant inside the cover body is equal to or greater than a prescribed liquid level. The cover body includes a first space and a second space that are partitioned from each other by the guide plate. The cover body is provided with: a first opening allowing communication between the first space and the internal space; and a second opening allowing communication between the second space and the internal space.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool includes a rotation indexing device and an abnormality determination device. The rotation indexing device including a clamp device configured to maintain a rotary shaft at an indexed angular position and an air purge device configured to supply compressed air to a space within a frame. The abnormality determination device includes a pressure sensor configured to output a pressure signal according to a pressure in a supply pipe conduit of the air purge device, and a determinator configured to determine presence or absence of an abnormality, based on the pressure signal from the pressure sensor.
Control method and apparatus for quick change device of work tools
The invention relates to a control method for a quick change device of a work tool, comprising the steps of: receiving a command to disengage a work tool clamping device; determining whether the work tool clamping device is in an engaged state; detecting functionality of a disengagement alarm if the work tool is in the engaged state; switching to an emergency state upon the detection of failure of the disengagement alarm. The present invention further relates to a corresponding control apparatus and work machine.
