Cutting fluid supply system to machine tool
A cutting fluid supply system includes a machine tool, a nozzle for ejecting cutting fluid, and a nozzle-moving unit for holding and moving the nozzle. The cutting fluid supply system detects an object existing in the machine tool, recognizes a position and a shape of the object based on the detection information, and specifies a machining point from the recognized information. The nozzle-moving unit moves the nozzle such that cutting fluid is ejected to the specified machining point.
CLAMP FOR TOOL HOLDER
A clamp for a tool holder is disclosed. The clamping tool holder includes a body having an insert-receiving pocket and a threaded clamp-receiving bore with a coolant opening for receiving pressurized coolant from a coolant source. A clamp includes a threaded aperture extending from a top surface to a bottom surface and coolant passages in fluid communication with a coolant header. A clamp screw is threaded into the threaded aperture of the clamp. The clamp screw includes a plurality of coolant passages in fluid communication with the coolant opening of the body, and at least one coolant channel in fluid communication with the coolant passage. Coolant from the coolant source enters the coolant opening of the body, travels into the clamp screw, travels into each coolant passage of the clamp, and then exits the clamp in a direction toward a cutting insert-workpiece interface.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO EXTEND CUTTING TOOL LIFE
A CNC apparatus and method of operating the CNC apparatus is provided in which the CNC machine additionally controls positionable air nozzles that can be used to provide a customized delivery of air to the cutting tool and substrate thereby minimizing damage and wear to the tool and preventing thermal damage of the substrate.
Method for supplying cryogenic fluid to a machining machine
A method for machining workpieces, having a cryogenic fluid intake in a machining zone, including locating a valve on the line connecting a fluid source to a machining tool in the machining zone, the valve self-regulates the degree of opening according to the pressure required downstream thereof, the valve is located inside a cold box for implementing the cryogenic fluid and provides a fixed and adjustable pressure, and a fixed adjustable flow, to the machining tool, irrespective of the tool that is used, and the number of orifices and the diameter of the fluid ejection orifices in the tool.
NOZZLE CARRIER FOR A TOOL GRINDING MACHINE
A coolant nozzle carrier for use with a grinding machine that has a grinding spindle for supporting and driving a grinding disc with a rotational axis. The coolant nozzle carrier comprises at least two coolant nozzles and at least a center leg and two side legs that are attached to the center leg. Each of the side legs supports at least one nozzle and extends in a plane that is perpendicular to the rotational axis. The side legs are configured to accommodate the grinding disc in between the side legs with a moving gap defined between the grinding disc and the side legs.
Milling cutter with lubrication conduits
A lubricant distribution device configured to be coupled to a rotating cutting tool having a plurality of circumferentially spaced cutting surfaces comprises a main body having a manifold conduit extending along a central rotational axis of the main body and a plurality of lubricant distributing conduits formed in the main body and extending radially outwardly from the manifold conduit. Each of the lubricant distributing conduits is configured to convey a lubricant therethrough and includes an inlet fluidly coupling each of the lubricant distributing conduits to the manifold conduit and an outlet disposed adjacent a corresponding one of the circumferentially spaced cutting surfaces of the cutting tool.
Nozzle body, and machine tool to which nozzle body can be attached
A nozzle body wherein replacement with cutting tool is easy and oscillation is small, and machine tool to which nozzle body can be attached, machine tool being equipped with turret having simple construction. Nozzle body includes: a body; a shank that is attached to a main spindle of machine tool: shaft body that is provided in a protruding manner on shank and rotatably supported by the body; annular path that is provided on outer circumference of shaft body; a discharge orifice that is provided at the leading end of shaft body; a first path that is provided inside shaft body and provides communication between discharge orifice and annular path; detent that is provided to the body; and a second path that is provided to the body and opens into the detent, the second path communicating with the annular path.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool is equipped with a second supply pipe having elasticity and having one end side fixed to a spindle head and the other end side fixed to an arm portion, a cover provided within a machining area, and rollers. When the spindle head is moved in a direction to come close to the arm portion, the second supply pipe is bent and then a portion of the second supply pipe is brought into abutment against the cover. The rollers are provided at a portion of the cover against which the second supply pipe is brought into abutment, and are configured to reduce friction between the cover and the second supply pipe when the second supply pipe moves relative to the cover in an abutment state against the cover.
CNC machine cutting fluid discharging tool accessory
A tool accessory used to apply different volumes of a cutting fluid to the tap under CNC control by causing the machine to undergo different pump cycles in which the rotational speed of the tool is increased above the tapping rotated and then quickly returned to the tapping rotation. The tool includes a tapping head, a reservoir filled with cutting fluid, a centrifugal force-reactive pump and at least two discharge nozzles. The pump includes a plurality of biased piston springs that are forced outward and store centripetal force when the tool is rotated at speeds above normal tapping speed. When the rotational speed of the tool is reduced, the piston springs overcome the centrifugal forces and force cutting fluid through the discharge nozzles. The volume of cutting fluid discharged is controlled by adjusting the viscosity of the cutting fluid, the tool's maximum speed, by using different size discharge nozzles, and by using different pump cycles.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool which removal-machines a workpiece by a tool includes an in-machine robot provided in a machining chamber, and a cleaning mechanism that cleans the in-machine robot by removing an adhering substance adhering to the in-machine robot. When the in-machine robot is cleaned, the in-machine robot moves relative to the cleaning mechanism and positions in proximity to the cleaning mechanism.
