DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AN APPROACH OF A TOOL TO A WORKPIECE
A device for determining an approach of a tool to a workpiece in a machine tool with internal cooling supply includes a measuring arrangement, having a measuring graduation arranged in a rotationally fixed manner on a shaft and at least one position sensor arranged in a fixed manner relative to the shaft, and a data processor. The position sensor is adapted to scan the measuring graduation and to generate position values therefrom that indicate a position of the shaft. The position values are fed to the data processor, which, by evaluating a progression of the position values when the tool approaches the workpiece, determines that the tool is located in an approach area relative to the workpiece, and signals, by an approach signal, when the tool reaches an approach position relative to the workpiece, in which the tool is close to the workpiece without touching it.
Operation Panel for Machine Tool
An operation panel for a machine tool includes: a first case that accommodates a cooling target object; a blower device that is disposed in the first case; and an air guide member that forms an air flow passage in the first case and that guides air blown out from the blower device toward the cooling target object through the air flow passage. The air flow passage includes an expanded flow passage section in which a flow passage area of the air flow passage increases from an upstream side of an airflow toward a downstream side of the airflow.
REFRIGERATION DEVICE AND OIL COOLING DEVICE
A refrigeration apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit having a heat exchanger, a housing that houses at least the heat exchanger and is provided with a suction port on an upstream side of the heat exchanger, and a filter attached to the suction port of the housing. The filter is configured to be held not to come into contact with the heat exchanger. When air containing oil mist flows to the heat exchanger via the filter, at least a part of an oil component in the air containing oil mist is trapped by the filter.
Fixture clamp manifold apparatus and system for using
A clamp and manifold apparatus comprising internal fluid-flow passages and such apparatus in a system. One embodiment of the apparatus of the invention comprises a clamp body; a manifold, an attachment feature for attaching to a fixture system; a clamping surface; at least one fluid flow passage inside the manifold having at least two endpoints; a first port disposed adjacent to the manifold and in fluid communication with one endpoint of the at least one fluid flow passage inside the manifold; and, a second port disposed adjacent to a second surface of the manifold in fluid communication with the second endpoint of the at least one fluid flow passage inside the body. An embodiment of the system of the invention comprises said clamp and manifold; a fixture; a fluid distribution pump; and fluid routing means connecting the fluid distribution pump and the first port of the apparatus of the system.
Smart coolant pump
A smart coolant pump for a robotic or computer-controlled machine. The smart pump uses a servo motor rather than a conventional industrial motor such as an induction motor. The smart pump has inherent torque and speed sensing, and a controller integrated with the computer-controlled machine controller. The motor torque/speed sensing and coolant pressure/flow sensing enable immediate detection of any anomalous conditions such as low coolant level or coolant port blockage. The smart pump can be configured to run at a certain speed and provide a specific coolant pressure and flow rate for each machining operation performed at the station, and to run at a very low speed between machining operations. This speed configurability saves energy and allows the pump and coolant to run at lower temperatures compared to conventional constant-speed coolant pumps.
Power-tool cooling apparatus
A power-tool cooling apparatus for a portable power tool includes a first fan configured to generate a first cooling fluid flow to cool a drive unit of the portable power tool, and a second fan that generates a further cooling fluid flow to cool an electronics unit of the portable power-tool. A third fan generates a third cooling fluid flow to cool a second electronics unit of the power-tool, and supplies cooling fluid to the first cooling fluid flow.
Methods and devices for machining a chilled workpiece
Machining apparatus for machining a chilled workpiece include a support surface that supports the chilled workpiece during machining by a machining tool of the machining apparatus, and further include a cooling system operatively coupled to the support surface. The cooling system prevents a machining temperature of an adhesive coupled to the chilled workpiece from rising beyond a predetermined threshold temperature during machining of the chilled workpiece, such that the cooling system prevents curing of the adhesive during machining of the chilled workpiece. The cooling system includes a cooling fluid that radiantly cools the chilled workpiece via the support surface while the chilled workpiece is supported by the support surface, such that the cooling system maintains the machining temperature of the adhesive (and of the chilled workpiece) below an ambient temperature. Related methods include machining the chilled workpiece using such machining apparatus.
LIQUID TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS AND TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT METHOD USING THE SAME
A liquid temperature adjustment apparatus 1 includes: a refrigeration device 10 which includes a refrigeration circuit 16 in which a compressor 11, a condenser 12, a first expansion valve 13, and a first evaporator 14 are connected in this order by a pipe to circulate a heat medium and an injection circuit 17 which branches from a portion downstream of the compressor 11 and upstream of the condenser 12 in the refrigeration circuit 16 and is connected to a portion downstream of the first expansion valve 13 and upstream of the first evaporator 14; and a first liquid supply device 100 which circulates a first liquid. The injection circuit 17 includes a flowrate adjustment valve 17A which adjusts a flowrate of the circulated heat medium. Further, the first liquid circulated by the first liquid supply device 100 is cooled by the first evaporator 14.
POLE SANDER
A handheld pole sander is provided including an elongate body having two ends, an electric motor electrically controlled by control electronics, and a sanding head attached via a pivot mechanism to a first end of the elongate body. The sanding head includes a hood and an output spindle projecting from the hood and rotatably driven by the electric motor. At least part of the elongate body includes a heat conductive part being at least partially made of heat conductive material. The control electronics are mounted on the elongate body adjacent to or in direct contact with the heat conductive part of the elongate body.
Operation Panel for Machine Tool
An operation panel for a machine tool includes: a blower device that includes a plurality of blade sections and a center axis section, the plurality of blade sections rotating around a center axis, the center axis section having a circular columnar shape around the center axis and being disposed on a radial-directional inside about the center axis relative to the plurality of blade sections the blower device sucking air in an axial direction about the center axis and blowing out the air in the axial direction about the center axis an opposed wall that is disposed on an air suction side of the blower device and that is disposed so as to face the blower device in the axial direction about the center axis; and an intermediate member that is provided between the opposed wall and the center axis section in the axial direction about the center axis.
