A rotary part of a pump (200) is connected to a body member (110) to be rotatable together. When the body member is attached to a main shaft (20) of a machine tool (10), a rotation stopping pin (310) of a rotation stopping device (300) fits in a fitting hole (41) of the machine tool and abuts on a wall surface (41a) of the fitting hole, whereby the rotation stopping pin and a rotation stopping lever (340) axially move against an elastic force of a spring (320) and the rotation stopping lever disengages from an engagement hole (113) in the body member such that the body member becomes rotatable relative to a support part (150, 160) that rotatably holds the rotary part. A force detecting sensor (50) outputs a force detection signal indicating a force with which the rotation stopping pin is pressing against the wall surface.

TAPERED TOOL HOLDER FIXTURE ASSEMBLY
20180071879 · 2018-03-15 ·

A tapered tool holder fixture assembly for facilitating the installation of a retention knob into a tool holder and to determine whether the installation of a retention knob has produced distortions in a tapered tool holder surface. A support stand supports a test gauge assembly that includes a mounting ring to which a tool holder is clamped, a gauge portion for receiving a tool holder tapered surface and a camming ring for moving the gauge portion into an out of engagement with the tool holder tapered surface. The mounting ring, camming ring and gauging portion are held together by a plurality of longitudinally extending bolts which allow the relative movement between the gauge portion and a tool holder held by the mounting ring and further allows relative rotation between the camming ring and the mounting ring whereby a rotatable detent arrangement moves the gauging portion towards and away from the tool holder. A measuring indicator is used to determine whether a tapered surface on the tool holder has been distorted by monitoring the position of the gauging portion with respect to the mounting ring before and after a retention knob is installed in the tool holder.

In a rod hole (19) of a holding rod (18) held in a guide hole (17) of a piston (10), a limit switch (20) is fixed and a detection rod (21) is inserted. A first engagement ball (30) and a second engagement ball (40) are configured to be in contact with a first cam surface (32) and a second cam surface (42), respectively, which are provided at an outer periphery of the detection rod (21). The first engagement ball (30) and the second engagement ball (40) are configured to be in contact with a first pushing portion (35) and a second pushing portion (45), respectively, which are provided inside the guide hole (17). The position of the piston (10) is detected by electrically or electronically detecting the movement of the detection rod (21) by the limit switch (20).

MACHINE TOOL
20180050432 · 2018-02-22 ·

A machine tool which removal-machines a workpiece by means of a tool includes a retaining device (a workpiece spindle and a tailstock) that retains the workpiece, a support device (an in-machine robot) that supports the workpiece, in order to suppress deflection of the workpiece retained by the retaining device, and a control device that controls driving of the support device by force control having a force as a control target. Specifically, a supporting force by the support device and a machining force by a tool are measured, and the driving of the support device is controlled so that the supporting force is equal to the machining force.

CONFIGURABLE WELDING TABLE AND FORCE INDICATING CLAMP
20170203395 · 2017-07-20 ·

Disclosed is a configurable table that uses configurable mounting pieces to mount a work piece on the configurable table at a predetermined location. The configurable table includes a fixed portion of a mounting clamp that can engage a rotatable portion of a mounting clamp on a positioner or other device. The positioner can then rotate the configurable table and work piece to various orientations for performing horizontal welds, using robotic welders, as well as machining and cutting. The configurable table can also be used for initial fabrication, cutting, or working, which eliminates the need for separate fabrication and finish welding tables.

A machining device is provided with a machine tool, a pallet to which a workpiece is secured, a pallet changer configured to move and change the pallet, and a workpiece attaching unit configured to attach and detach the workpiece to and from the pallet. Further, the machining device is provided with a visual sensor configured to capture an image of the pallet, and contaminants that may possibly cause jamming as the workpiece is supplied to the pallet are detected from the image captured by the visual sensor. A workpiece supply operation for the pallet is suspended if the contaminants are detected.

Work Piece Processing Device With Servo-Elastic Actuator System With Simultaneous Precision Force And Position Control

A work piece processing device includes a tool piece, a work piece holder and a servo-elastic actuator system having simultaneous precision force and position control that moves one of the tool piece and the work piece holder to the other of the tool piece and work piece holder.

A tailstock control device includes a tailstock parameter setting unit that receives, in advance, setting of tailstock acceleration time ta, tailstock movement velocity V, drive torque measuring period t, and number n of drive torque measurements; a calculating unit that calculates acceleration zone distance La from the acceleration time ta and the movement velocity V; a calculating unit that calculates constant velocity zone distance Lb from the movement velocity V, the measuring period t, and the number n of measurements; a drive torque detecting unit that detects servo motor drive torque; and a control unit that sets La+Lb as drive torque measuring distance Lt and calculates servo motor drive torque limit value c from drive torque T detected by the drive torque detecting unit when the tailstock is moved over La+Lb and also from a servo motor torque command value a required for supporting a workpiece.

METHOD OF MACHINING WORKPIECE BY COOPERATION OF MACHINE TOOL AND ROBOT
20170087676 · 2017-03-30 · ·

A method for machining a workpiece which can prevent a reduction in machining accuracy and production efficiency. The method includes pressing a clamp part against a first portion of the workpiece, to clamp the workpiece in cooperation with a workpiece receiving part, causing the clamp part to move away from the first portion, to release the workpiece, which has been clamped by the clamp part, operating the robot to cause the robot hand to grasp a second portion of the workpiece, which is different from the first portion, to restrict the movement of the workpiece relative to the workpiece receiving part without a change in the posture of the workpiece, and operating the machine tool to machine the first portion while restricting the movement of the workpiece relative to the workpiece receiving part.
