SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING AND ADJUSTING GATE OPENINGS OF SLICING MACHINES
Instruments and methods for measuring and adjusting gate openings of a slicing machine utilizing a gauge system that includes a frame, a device for securing the frame to the interior surface of a cutting head, a device for locating the frame relative to a knife and/or a gate of the cutting head that define the gate opening therebetween, and a device mounted to the frame for measuring the gate opening. The measuring device includes an anvil biased in an outward direction relative to the frame, an indicator mounted to the anvil and biased therewith in the outward direction relative to the frame, and a probe of the indicator biased in the outward direction relative to the indicator. The probe and anvil provide a outward measurement of the gate opening based on a differential measurement of surfaces of the knife and gate.
Reprocessing apparatus and method for reprocessing tools, tool holders and/or tool units
A reprocessing apparatus, in particular a cleaning and/or preserving apparatus, for tools, tool holders and/or tool units is proposed, with at least one reprocessing unit, in particular for a reprocessing of used and/or contaminated tools, tool holders and/or tool units, with at least one holding unit for an exchangeable holding of the tools, tool holders and/or tool units, and with at least one handling unit which is configured, for an execution of a cleaning process on the tools, tool holders and/or tool units, to bring the holding unit and at least one cleaning region of the reprocessing unit together in an at least semiautomated manner, and after execution of the cleaning process, to remove the holding unit and the cleaning region of the reprocessing unit from each other in an at least semiautomated manner, and/or after execution of the cleaning process, to bring the holding unit and at least one further cleaning region of the reprocessing unit together for an execution of a further cleaning process.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INSERTING A TOOL INTO A TOOL RECEPTACLE
The present invention provides a device (10) for inserting a tool (18) into a tool receptacle (14), said device comprising a first holding means (12), which is configured to hold a tool receptacle (14), a second holding means (16), which is configured to hold a tool (18), a linear guide (20), by means of which the second holding means (16) is able to move in relation to the first holding means (12) in an axial direction running along or parallel to a main axis (X) in order to move the tool closer to the tool receptacle and insert it into the tool receptacle, a sensing arrangement (40), which is able to move in an axial direction and is configured to sense in a contact-free manner an axial position of a first reference point (R1) associated with the first holding means and to sense in a contact-free manner an axial position of a second reference point (R2) for a tool held by the second holding means, and a measuring arrangement, which measures an axial displacement path of the sensing arrangement. The invention furthermore relates to a method for inserting a tool as well as a device having a clamping arrangement for holding the tool.
Handle apparatus for an industrial machine tool
A handle is coupled to an industrial machine tool, along with a method of operating the industrial machine tool via the handle. The handle comprises a housing, a first switch, and a second switch. The housing includes a first side, a second side, a top end, and a bottom end, the first side facing toward the industrial machine tool and the second side facing away from the industrial machine tool. The first switch actuates a float mode for the industrial machine tool, the float mode being a mode in which movement of a moveable portion of the industrial machine tool is power assisted for an operator of the industrial machine tool. The second switch actuates a machining portion, coupled to the moveable portion of the industrial machine tool, to perform a machining process on a workpiece.
Device for striking a tool shank and method of reducing machine tool run-out therewith
A device for striking a tool shank with a controlled force includes a tip configured to contact the shank, a plunger configured to be retracted a pullback distance from the tip and to exert a force on the tip proportional to the pullback distance when released, and a control mechanism configured to control the pullback distance. A method of reducing run-out in a machine tool comprises placing the tool in a tool holder, measuring the run-out using an indicator, identifying a high spot, manipulating the control mechanism of the striking device to select the force based on the shank diameter, and striking the shank on the high spot using the striking device.
