Process for controlling a machine tool
A machine tool includes a machining chamber, an illuminator in the machining chamber, and an NC unit. The NC unit includes a manual execution unit for executing the machining operation via a pulse signal generated in response to operation of a manually operated part, and has a one-block stop mode in which the NC program is executed for one block and then stopped. A notification unit issues a notification of completion of the execution of one block of the NC program while the machining operation is executed manually using the manual execution unit in the one-block stop mode, and the notification unit includes the illuminator. A change in the illumination state of the illuminator enables an operator to observe the interior of the machining chamber continuously while being notified of the completion of the execution of the one block of the NC program.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a frame with two opposite frame sections, a number of leg elements arranged on the frame, and a first carriage having a first linear axis. The first carriage is guided on the two opposite sections of the frame and is displaceable in a first direction. A second carriage of a second linear axis is guided on the first carriage and is displaceable in a second direction A tower element has a third linear axis, which is retained on the second carriage. A machining element is retained on the tower element and is displaceable in a third direction, and a tool spindle is arranged on the machining element for receiving a tool.

Dust extraction apparatus can be connected and the base can be selectively provided with guide means and also includes attachment means to allow the power tool to be selectively located with a worksurface or a guide plate.
System for processing a workpiece
A system (40) for processing a workpiece includes a support surface (88) for supporting a workpiece (44). The system (40) includes a processing tool (92) movable with respect to a processing path. The system (40) includes a sensor carriage (408) movable along a scan axis and having a light source (476, 515, 550, 586) located to emit a light beam at an angle to the scan axis onto a target surface of a workpiece (44), and a camera (484, 522, 558, 594) configured to record location data of the light beam on a target surface of a workpiece (44) as the sensor carriage (408) moves along the scan axis. The system (40) includes a control system for generating a three-dimensional point representation of a workpiece surface from the light beam location data, to control movement of the processing tool (92) based on the three-dimensional point representation of a workpiece (44).
BIOPSY DEVICE WITH SELECTABLE TISSUE RECEIVING APERATURE ORIENTATION AND SITE ILLUMINATION
A biopsy device includes a disposable elongated probe component having a coaxial arrangement of an elongated tubular section and an elongated tissue cutting member, and having a coaxial arrangement of a first driven gear, a second driven gear, and a third driven gear. The first driven gear is configured to rotate the elongated tubular section. The second driven gear is configured to rotate to longitudinally move the elongated tissue cutting member. The third driven gear is configured to rotate or oscillate the elongated tissue cutting member. A driver component has a coaxial arrangement of a first drive gear, a second drive gear, and a third drive gear. The first drive gear is drivably engaged with the first driven gear. The second drive gear is drivably engaged with the second driven gear. The third drive gear is drivably engaged with the third driven gear.
Biopsy device with selectable tissue receiving aperature orientation and site illumination
A method for collecting a tissue specimen from a target site within a patient includes rotating an elongated tubular section about a longitudinal axis to provide a desired aperture orientation of a tissue receiving aperture; applying a vacuum within the elongated tubular section to draw tissue at the tissue site through the tissue receiving aperture of the elongated tubular section into the interior thereof; advancing an elongated tissue cutting member longitudinally within the elongated tubular section to cut a tissue specimen from the tissue extending into the elongated tubular section; and applying a vacuum to the proximal end of the elongated tissue cutting member for transporting a cut tissue specimen through the inner lumen of the elongated tissue cutting member to discharge the cut tissue specimen directly from the proximal end of the elongated tissue cutting member into a tissue collection device.
Kits and methods for installing a light source on a tool rest
A kit and method for installing a light source onto a lathe tool rest for improving the illumination of the workpiece is described. The kit includes a rectangular array of two or more LED light sources on a front side of a strip and a power source comprising a cord having one end connected to a rear side of the strip. Methods for installing the kit may include drilling a hole through a tool rest so that the cord extends through the rear side to avoid obstructing the lathe.
