HAIR SHAPING COMPOSITION
The invention provides a hair shaping composition suitable for topical application to hair, the composition having a pH of 4 or less and comprising, in an aqueous continuous phase: (i) at least 0.5% (by weight based on the total weight of the composition) of a first component selected from D-glucono--lactone, D-glucono--lactone, D-gluconic acid and mixtures thereof; (ii) at least 0.1% (by weight based on the total weight of the composition) of a second component selected from glyoxylic acid, glyxoxylic acid hydrate, salts thereof and mixtures thereof; in which the weight ratio of first component (i) to second component (ii) in the hair shaping composition ranges from 10:1 to 1:10.
Photo-activatable formulation applicator
An applicator device includes a photo-active formulation assembly and a photo-dose assembly operably coupled to the photo-active formulation assembly. The photo-active formulation assembly includes a dispenser portion and one or more photo-activatable formulation reservoirs. The photo-active formulation assembly is operable to dispense a photo-activatable formulation from the one or more photo-activatable formulation reservoirs onto one or more regions of a biological surface. The photo-dose assembly includes at least one illuminator oriented to focus electromagnetic energy onto one or more focal regions of a biological surface. The focused electromagnetic energy is of a character and for a duration sufficient to photo-activate the photo-activatable formulation dispensed from the one or more photo-activatable formulation reservoirs.
Cosmetic composition in multiple emulsion formulation
A cosmetic composition containing a multiple emulsion formulation is provided. The multiple emulsion formulation contains droplets including an inner phase and an outer phase and an outermost phase, and an outermost phase. The inner phase may be an oil phase and the outer phase may be an aqueous phase, and the outermost phase includes silicon-based oil. The cosmetic composition may provide excellent formulation stability due to the distribution of the droplets very close to the outermost phase.
COSMETIC ESTER COMPOSITION
A cosmetic ester composition includes a trimellitic acid ester which is formed by subjecting a trimellitic acid and a C.sub.8-C.sub.13 alcohol to an esterification reaction, and a C.sub.5-C.sub.18 carboxylic acid polyol ester. The cosmetic ester composition has a hydroxyl value ranging from 5 mg KOH/g to 100 mg KOH/g, and a viscosity at 20 C. ranging from 150 cP to 1500 cP.

The present disclosure relates to methods for treating, preventing and improving the condition and aesthetic appearance of skin, particularly, treating, preventing, ameliorating, reducing and/or eliminating fine lines and/or wrinkles of skin, by application of one or a combination of natural compounds or extracts that stimulate MAGP-1 expression and which improves the appearance of aged and/or photodamaged skin.
