Oral care compositions

Described herein are oral care compositions comprising a silsesquioxane silicone resin and a solvent; and methods of making and using the same.

COSMETIC PRODUCT INCLUDING A POLAR SOLVENT AND A THICKENER IN A FLASH EVAPORATION DEVICE

Disclosed is a cosmetic product comprising a) a cosmetic preparation that has a viscosity of 5,000 to 1,000,000 mPas and contains, in relation to the total weight of the preparation, a1) 60 to 98 wt % of at least one polar solvent; a2) 0.01 to 10 wt % of at least one thickener; b) a device for flash evaporating cosmetic preparation a). Also disclosed are a method using corresponding products and the use of cosmetic preparation a) as a process material in a flash evaporation device.

Polyoxyalkylene substituted alkylene diamines and their use on skin and hair

This application is directed to hair and skin conditioning compositions which contain specific polyoxyalkylene substituted alkylene diamines. The polyoxyalkylene substituted alkylene diamines function as conditioning agents on hair and skin via cloud point deposition. The polyoxyalkylene substituted alkylene diamines in addition to functioning as conditioning agents on skin and hair by themselves also function to enhance deposition of lipophilic benefit agents such as for example fatty alcohols, esters of fatty acids, hydrophobic vitamin or vitamin complexes, natural or synthetic triglycerides including glyceryl esters and derivative, pearlescent waxes, hydrocarbon oils, siloxanes of silicones, perfume oils, super-fatting agents, water insoluble or slightly soluble organic sunscreens, micronized sunscreens, plant extracts, essential oils and hydrophobically modified pigments.

USE OF SPECIFIC POLYMERS TO BRING ABOUT AN ANTI-POLLUTION EFFECT

The present invention relates to the use of a polymer or of a cosmetic product comprising said polymer, and additionally other known cosmetic ingredients, to bring about an anti-pollution effect on human skin or on human hair, especially to protect human skin or human hair from dust, wherein the polymer is a cationic, anionic or non-ionic polymer, and wherein the polymer has a solubility in water of at least 0.01 g of polymer in 100 g of water at 20° C. at least at a pH in the range between 4 and 9.

Robust sunscreen compositions

A robust sunscreen composition is disclosed herein comprising a water soluble polymer and a water insoluble film former providing a synergistic effect in SPF retention and critical wavelength after immersion in water, salt water, and chlorinated water. The water soluble polymer comprises poloxamer 338 (and) PPG-12/SMDI copolymer, poloxamer 407 (and) PPG-12/SMDI copolymer, or a combination thereof.

COSMETIC USE OF AMYLOSE-RICH STARCH AS FILM-FORMING AGENT WITH BARRIER AND FIXATIVE EFFECTS

The invention relates to the field of film-forming agents for cosmetic or dermatological use, that are capable of conferring a barrier effect or a fixative effect on a cosmetic preparation. The barrier effect makes it possible to protect the skin from environmental pollution, for example microparticles and volatile organic compounds, and more particularly from urban atmospheric pollution. The fixative effect makes it possible to reduce or eliminate the transfer of pigments and/or dyes, and to increase the hold of the hairstyle or the shaping of head hair, body hair or eyelashes.

GLYCOSIDE BLENDS

Sweetener compositions comprising particular glycoside blends are described in this paper. The glycioside blends comprise rebaudioside A, rebaudioside B, and/or rebaudioside D in various proportions. The sweetener composition can also include one or more bulking agents or other ingredients. The sweetener compositions can be used in foods and beverages.

Oil-in-water UV-blocking cosmetic composition having high water resistance and preparation method thereof

The present invention may provide an oil in water (O/W) cosmetic composition having water resistance and ease of facial cleansing, using an A-B-A type triblock copolymer which is included in the cosmetic, and thus may adjust the surfactant power. Further, it is possible to provide a method for imparting water resistance and ease of facial cleansing, using the A-B-A type triblock copolymer.

Biobased Polyglyceryl Esters and Mouth Rinse Compositions Comprising the Same

The present invention relates to oral rinse formulations comprising polyglyceryl ester compounds and processes for preparing same. The inventive oral rinse formulations may comprise water, at least one oral care benefit ingredient, and a mixture including one or more compounds of Formula (I):

##STR00001##

wherein: PG is a polyglyceryl group comprising greater than 40% hexaglycerol and higher polyglycerols and less than 60% pentaglycerol and lower polyglycerols, R is a linear or branched Cs-Cs alkyl group, n = from 1 to 3. The oral rinse formulations, which may be biobased, are devoid of ethoxylates and sulfonated surfactants. Processes of preparing a transparent oral rinse formulation are also disclosed.

Skin whitening composition comprising culture of pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora or extract thereof

Disclosed in the specification is a skin whitening composition comprising as an effective ingredient a Pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora strain, a lysate thereof, a culture thereof, or an extract from the strain, lysate, or culture. Also, the specification discloses a Pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora SNC 121 strain, deposited with accession number KCCM12049P, which exhibits a skin whitening function.
