COMPOSITION HAVING ANTI-GLYCATION EFFECT AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a composition having an anti-glycation effect and an application thereof. The anti-glycation composition includes the following constituents in parts by mass: 0.1 to 5 parts of Osmanthus fragrans extract, 0.1 to 5 parts of Punica granatum extract and 0.1 to 2 part of Olea europaea extract, wherein in the Osmanthus fragrans extract, a mass content of polyphenol is more than or equal to 10%, and a mass content of verbascoside is more than or equal to 10%; in the Punica granatum extract, a mass content of polyphenol is more than or equal to 30%, and a mass content of punicalagin is more than or equal to 8%; and in the Olea europaea extract, a mass content of polyphenol is more than or equal to 10%, and a mass content of hydroxytyrosol is more than or equal to 3%.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION OF LOW OSMOLALITY
The present invention generally relates to the field of skin care. More particularly, the invention relates to a skin care composition that has a particularly low osmolality. The skin care composition of the invention therefore is specifically suitable for supporting the skin microbiome, because it does not create an osmotic stress that would be harmful to the bacteria after its topical application to the skin. Accordingly, skin care composition of the invention preserves and improves the vitality of the bacteria of the skin microbiome, which enhances the stability of a healthy skin microbiome. The skin care composition of the present invention can be thus used for treating or preventing skin diseases, for promoting the development of a healthy skin microbiome, for stabilizing a healthy skin microbiome, and for maintaining or promoting the vitality of bacteria of the skin microbiome.
METHOD AND THERAPEUTIC/COSMETIC TOPICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF ROSACEA AND SKIN ERYTHEMA USING A1-ADRENOCEPTOR AGONISTS
The present invention is directed to the treatment of skin erythema as exhibited in rosacea and other conditions characterized by increased erythema (redness) of the skin. These conditions exhibit dilation of blood vessels due to a cutaneous vascular hyper-reactivity. In particular, the present invention is directed to a novel composition and method for the treatment of skin erythema using .sub.1-adrenergic receptor (.sub.1-adrenoceptor) agonists incorporated into cosmetic, pharmacological or dermatological compositions for topical application to the skin.
METHODS FOR FIXING HAIR AND SKIN
Compositions, kits, and methods for repairing bonds, for example, disulfide bonds, in hair or on the skin are disclosed. The compositions provide improved conditioning benefit for dry hair or moisturize the skin. The compositions also provide a long lasting moisturized feel and smooth feel to the skin or hair, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that covalently bind at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. Use of the binding compositions prevents reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol state, for at least one week or one month, or more, after a single application of the composition. Improved methods of styling hair, for example permanent hair waving, hair curling, hair coloring or highlighting, and hair straightening, are also provided.
Skin lightening composition
The present invention is in the field of personal care compositions; in particular skin lightening compositions. It is believed that niacinamide reduces the melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes thereby bringing about skin lightening. However, niacinamide is known to have little or no effect directly on the melanin content in the melanocytes. Thus a composition with multiple modes of action, that combines the reduction of melanosome transfer and the reduction of melanin content in the melanocytes remains to be desired. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a composition with synergistic amounts of picolinamide and niacinamide, providing improved melanosome transfer inhibition. It has been found that a synergistic skin lightening effect is obtained when niacinamide is combined with its isomer, picolinamide.
COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS
A method of reducing the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles on a person's skin is disclosed. The method can include topically applying a composition comprising an effective amount of an aqueous extract of Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed to the fine lines or wrinkles present on the person's skin. Topical application of the composition can reduce the appearance of the fine lines or wrinkles on the person's skin.
Oral Care Composition Comprising Rottlerin
An oral care composition including rottlerin in an amount sufficient to reduce a growth of gram-positive bacteria in a mouth treated with the oral care composition.
MARINE EXTRACT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
Compositions comprising extracts from marine organisms show beneficial effects on skin ailments. Fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging in skin are improved with the application of compositions with marine extracts. Production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are increased after application of the compositions.
FORMULATION FOR FORMING A DISINFECTING FOAM
A formulation for providing a disinfecting foam on the basis of an electrochemically activated aqueous saline solution enabling the dispensation as a foam while the microbicidal effectivity the electrochemically activated saline solution is maintained is to be provided. To this end, the formulation comprises at least one surfactant foam carrier component and at least one antimicrobially effective component on the basis of a electrochemically activated aqueous saline solution, the formulation having a content of at least 10 ppm of a free chlorine species selected from the group comprising hydrochlorous acid, hypochlorite ions, sodium hypochlorite or dissolved chlorine gas, and exhibiting a vibration band associated with a CF vibration in the infrared spectrum.
Packaged Probiotic Composition and Methods
Various packaged probiotic compositions, methods of producing a packaged probiotic composition, and cosmetic methods are described. A packaged probiotic composition includes a storage vessel that defines a first chamber, a second chamber, and a wall that separates the first and second chambers. The first chamber includes a lyophilized probiotic bacteria matrix and the second chamber includes a moisture-providing composition. A dispensing mechanism is individually coupled to the first and second chambers and, when activated, draws pre-measured portions of the lyophilized probiotic bacteria matrix and the moisture-providing composition from the respective first and second chambers, mixes the pre-measured portions, and dispenses the resulting mixed composition.
