Method for obtaining a diglycoside-enriched Armeria maritima extract, and use thereof in cosmetics
Disclosed are a method for preparing a hydroalcoholic extract obtained from a biomass of the shoots of a plant from the family of Plumbaginaceae, a butanol extract of Armenia maritima, a method for the preparation thereof, the use thereof, and compositions containing same.
PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A READY-TO-USE, COSMETIC, FLOWABLE DETERGENT
A process for the preparation of a ready-to-use cosmetic, flowable cleaning agent, in which a powdered surfactant mixture is mixed with water in a specific weight ratio is described herein. A flowable cleaning agent obtainable by the process is also described.
TOPICAL SKIN CARE FORMULATIONS COMPRISING PLANT EXTRACTS
A method of treating a skin condition is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to skin having the skin condition a composition comprising an effective amount of an extract of Diospyros mespiliformis leaf to treat the skin condition.
METHOD FOR PREPARING STABLE LIQUID EMULSION FORMS OF PLANT EXTRACT
A method for preparing stable liquid emulsion forms of plant extract is provided. A plant extract having a bitter flavor is mixed with diluent oil as an oil mixture and heat is applied to the oil mixture. An emulsifying agent is dispersed in water as an emulsifying solution. The oil mixture is mixed with the emulsifying solution. The mixed oil mixture and emulsifying solution is homogenized as a liquid form of the plant extract. Gluconic acid is added to the liquid form of the plant extract. The bitter flavor of the plant extract is disguised by adding a bitter blocker to the liquid form of the plant extract.
Xanthohumol-based compositions
This invention relates to xanthohumol-based compositions, yielded in a hot-melt extrusion process (HME) using one or more water-soluble nutritionally and/or cosmetically acceptable thermoplastic polymers, such as selected from hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose (HPMC), a vinylpyrrolidone-vinyl acetate copolymer, and combinations thereof. The present invention also relates to topical and oral formulations comprising such extruded xanthohumol-based compositions, as well as the use of one or more water-soluble nutritionally and/or cosmetically acceptable thermoplastic polymers in a hot-melt extrusion process of xanthohumol.
Method of strengthening oxidatively-treated hair
The invention provides a method of strengthening the fibres of oxidatively-treated hair, the method comprising the sequential steps of: (i) washing the oxidatively-treated hair; (ii) soaking the washed hair in an aqueous treatment composition, and (iii) drying the soaked hair; characterised in that the aqueous treatment composition comprises at least 1% N-acetyl glycine (by weight based on the total weight of the composition).15 The invention also provides the use of an aqueous treatment composition comprising at least 1% N-acetyl glycine (by weight based on the total weight of the composition), for the enhanced strengthening of oxidatively-treated hair fibres relative to virgin hair fibres.
Method of creating nutritional supplements
A method of creating nutritional supplements including the steps of obtaining a customer's nutrient deficiency, calculating an ionic supplement composition based on the underlying element composition of the delivery product and the deficiency information, and mixing the ionic elements in dehydrated form with an appropriate liquid suspension.
THE PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION AND USE OF HAIR TREATMENT COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ORGANIC C1-C6 ALKOXY SILANES
The subject of the present application is a method for the preparation and use of an agent for the treatment of keratinous material, in particular human hair, comprising the following steps: (1) Mixing one or more organic C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy silanes with water, (2) optionally, partial, or complete removal from the reaction mixture of the C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alcohols liberated by the reaction in step (1), (3) if necessary, addition of one or more cosmetic ingredients, (4) Filling of the preparation into a packaging unit, (5) Storage of the preparation in the packaging unit for a period of at least about 5 days; and (6) Application of the preparation on the keratinous material.
Hair care compositions comprising thiolactic acid-based ionic liquids or thiolactic acid-based ionic mixtures
The instant disclosure relates hair care compositions comprising ionic liquids or ionic mixtures. Ionic liquids or ionic mixtures are combined with a cosmetically acceptable carrier to form ready-to-use hair care compositions. The ionic liquids and the ionic mixtures are formed from; (1) thiolactic acid and/or one or more alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salts thereof; and (2) one or more amine compounds, and/or one or more ammonium cationic compounds, and/or one or more salts thereof. The ionic liquids, the ionic mixtures, and the hair care compositions comprising the ionic liquids or the ionic mixtures, are useful in methods for preventing hair damage, shaping hair, caring for hair, etc.
HAND CLEANING COMPOSITION WITH TIMED USE DURATION
There is provided a composition and method of use in cleansing skin, wherein the volume of the composition is provided in an amount correlated to a desired wash duration, preferably of 20 seconds or greater. Further, the composition and method of us thereof provide the composition is exhausted within a desired wash duration, beginning when the composition is first contacted with water.
