Slipring grinding method
This invention relates to methods and materials for slip ring grinding of a generator rotor, without the need of dismounting the slip ring from the rotor of the generator, and allowing the grinding process to be performed whilst the generator is on full-load operation. As such the methods and materials of the present invention differs from current solution. Whilst allowing on-line grinding of the slip ring, the current solutions require low-speed rotations and accordingly operational shutdown of the generator. Allowing on-load grinding, the present invention greatly shortens the downtime of the generator and to perform maintenance on the slip ring beyond the provided standard maintenance schedule.
COUNTERBALANCED TIRE PROFILE GENERATING MACHINE
A tire grinding machine includes a frame having a plurality of vertically extending posts. A chuck assembly is associated with the frame and adapted to receive and rotate a tire. A grinding assembly is associated with the frame and is movable with respect to the frame. The grinding assembly has at least one grinding element adapted to contact and remove material from the tire when rotated by the chuck assembly. A counterbalance assembly which has a cable with one end connected to a counterbalance weight and an opposite end connected to the grinding assembly is included. A block assembly may be coupled to the grinding assembly to allow pivotable movement thereof. A calibration adapter may be used to ensure proper positioning of the grinding elements, wherein a level adjuster may be used for this purpose.
OIL WELL PUMPING SYSTEM POLISHED ROD PROTECTIVE DEVICE
A cylindrical protective device is disclosed for the polished rod and packing of an oil well pumping system. The protective device is constructed with abrasive sandstone material, wraps around the polished rod, and is positioned on top of, or anchored to, the packing. The device has two symmetrical parts, each part having semicircular structure, the parts when joined together form a circular cavity to accommodate the polished rod therethrough. As the polished rod undergoes cyclic motion driven by a horsehead, the device smooths rough edges and oil chips, extending the polished rod's lifespan. By reducing friction and minimizing wear on the packing, the device prevents oil and natural gas leaks during the pumping process. Using the protective device, pump systems can operate more efficiently, ensuring a smoother and safer oil extraction process.
CHEMICAL MECHANICAL POLISHING APPARATUS FOR POLISHING WORKPIECE
The present invention relates to a chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) apparatus for polishing a workpiece, such as a metal body, to a mirror finish. The chemical mechanical polishing apparatus includes: a polishing pad (2) having an annular polishing surface (2a) which has a curved vertical cross-section; a workpiece holder (11) for holding a workpiece (W) having a polygonal shape; a rotating device (15) configured to rotate the workpiece holder (11) about an axis of the workpiece (W); a pressing device (14) configured to press a periphery of the workpiece (W) against the annular polishing surface (2a); and an operation controller (25) configured to change a speed at which the rotating device (15) rotates the workpiece (W) according to a rotation angle of the workpiece (W). The pressing device (14) is disposed more inwardly than the workpiece holder (11) in a radial direction of the polishing table (3).
Apparatuses and methods for polishing a metal sheet or plate leveler
An apparatus and method for safely and efficiently polishing the work rolls of a metal sheet or plate leveler. The apparatus includes a support and one or more polisher assemblies to be inserted between the upper and lower work rolls of the leveler, for simultaneously polishing the upper and/or lower work rolls of the leveler during the rotation of the work rolls.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WIRE SAW APPARATUS AND WIRE SAW APPARATUS
A method for manufacturing a wire saw apparatus including a wire supply reel; a long roller; wire guides; a wire winding reel; and a tension arm controlled to move within a control angle of ?A (?) set in advance and configured to apply tension to the wire, the method including the steps of: measuring a surface roughness Rmax of the long roller; measuring an angle a (?) of the tension arm at which the tension arm swings outside a range of the control angle set in advance while the wire is extending from the wire supply reel; calculating R1?2?A?(|a|+A)=R2, where R1 (?m) represents the measured surface roughness Rmax of the long roller; and adjusting the surface roughness Rmax of the long roller to the calculated numerical value R2 or less. The method for manufacturing a wire saw apparatus can prevent the tension arm from greatly swinging outside the control range.
Outer diameter cleaning and sanding drill attachment
An attachment for a drill comprises a shank with a chuck configured to mount the attachment to the drill. A housing on the shank comprises a threaded end and a hollow chamber. A compression bladder having a tubular opening through it is configured to be inserted into the hollow chamber. A tube comprising a sanding or cleaning surface located on the inner surface of the tube is configured to be insertable into the tubular opening of the compression bladder. A threaded lid having a circular opening that is at least the same diameter as the inner diameter of the tube is configured to mount onto the housing at the threaded end and compress the compression bladder thereby reducing the diameter of the tubular opening and compressing the compression bladder against the tube to secure the tube within the housing.

The apparatus utilizes a motorized grinding wheel, said motorized grinding wheel rotating in a direction counter to the rotating elastomer substrate and having an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotating elastomer substrate, wherein the perpendicular distance between the motorized grinding wheel and the rotating elastomer substrate is adjustable so as to control the amount of elastomer substrate that is removed; and a mount for said motorized grinding wheel, wherein said mount is located proximal to the rotating elastomer substrate that comprises a part of a production line and wherein the mount is capable of traversing parallel to the rotating elastomer substrate.
