METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR INDICATING A SANITATION STATUS OF A SURFACE
A method for indicating a sanitation status of a surface may comprise contacting a coating on a surface with a cleaning composition, wherein the coating comprises a chromic material and exhibits a baseline optical state under illumination with light having a first wavelength prior to contact with the cleaning composition and an altered optical state under illumination with light having a second wavelength after contact with the cleaning composition, the cleaning composition configured to induce a switch from the baseline optical state to the altered optical state; and illuminating the coating with the first wavelength of light, the second wavelength of light, or both, to reveal a sanitation status of the surface. Systems for indicating a sanitation status of a surface are also provided.
MOBILE TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING ITEMS AND SERVICES
An apparatus and method for a mobile transport for delivering temperature-controlled contents includes a plurality of compartments coupled to a vehicle body where each compartment includes an interior space and a front panel defining a wall of the interior space. Each front panel is operable to open and reveal the interior space of its compartment in response to a predetermined condition. A temperature controller is configured to individually control a temperature setting within at least one of the plurality of compartments, and a germicidal controller is configured to provide a germicide to the interior space of each of the plurality of compartments. In operation, the mobile transport receives an order signal to pick up an item from a source, the order signal including the pickup location information, customer identification information, and delivery location information. After the item has been placed in the interior space of a compartment, the temperature controller sets the temperature setting for that compartment according to a type of the item. After arriving at the delivery location, the front panel of the compartment is opened in response to receiving an open request signal satisfying the predetermined condition, the open request signal including information relating to the customer identification information.
Used paper diaper processing apparatus
The peeling member is disposed inside the inner tank. The switching mechanism is provided for switching between the state of rotating the peeling member in the interlocking manner with the inner tank and the state of being disconnected the peeling member from the inner tank. With the peeling member disconnected from the inner tank, one of them is rotated, the used paper diaper stored is peeled off from the inner surface of the inner tank, and then, the used paper diaper processed in the processing tank is discharged from the bottom of the processing tank to the take-out unit via the opening and closing unit.

Targeted enzymatic degradation of quorum-sensing peptides
Methods and compositions for the treatment of biofilms and/or the inhibition of biofilm formation. In one embodiment, a biofilm is treated and/or biofilm formation is inhibited by a method comprising contacting a biofilm or a surface with a bifunctional ligand comprising a quorum-sensing-peptide-binding region and a protease-binding region, whereby the biofilm is treated and/or biofilm formation on the surface is inhibited.

SELF-DISINFECTING COATING FOR SURFACES
A self-disinfecting coating (1) for surfaces: is provided that includes a base matrix (2) and a loading solution (3), the matrix (2) in turn includes a gel base (10) and a gel fluid (7), and the loading solution (3) comprises an active disinfectant ingredient (4), in such a way that the base matrix (2) is able to absorb and retain the active ingredient (4) while maintaining, on the free surface of the coating (1), a sufficient concentration of active ingredient (4), thus maintaining the surface disinfected. The gel base (10) may include a protein of collagen, albumin or elastin and glycerine as the plasticising agent (6). The loading solution (3) may include elemental iodine as an active ingredient (4) and ethanol as the loading solvent (8). The self-disinfecting coating (1) may include a base substrate (11) that includes therein the base matrix (2) and loading solution (3).
Biofilm inhibiting compositions enhancing weight gain in livestock
A method of enhancing the growth of an animal, as well as treating or preventing antimicrobial infections is provided. The method includes causing the animal to ingest or absorb an effective amount of one or more Fe III complex compounds, including but not limited to Fe III complexes comprising ligands bound to the iron center such as amino acids or α-hydroxy acids. The compounds are also useful for inhibiting, reducing, or preventing biofilm formation or buildup on a surface; the treatment of, inhibition of growth of, and inhibition of colonization by, bacteria, both in biological and non-biological environments; disinfecting surfaces, potentiating the effects of antibiotics and other anti-microbial agents, and increasing the sensitivity of bacteria and other microorganisms, to anti-microbial agents are also provided.
