Embodiments of the present disclosure provide surface treatment tools, methodologies, and/or repaired turbomachine components. A surface treatment tool according to the present disclosure can include a lathe assembly having a lathe chuck for receiving a component thereon, wherein the lathe chuck rotates the component about a first axis of rotation, and wherein the component includes an exposed axial target surface; and a sander or burnishing tool coupled to the lathe assembly and including a sanding or burnishing surface thereon, coupled to a drive system, wherein the sanding or burnishing surface rotates about a second axis of rotation substantially non-parallel with the first axis of rotation, such that the sanding or burnishing surface selectively contacts the target surface of the component to yield a polished target surface.

A system for slew ring repair includes a drive mechanism and a tool coupled thereto. The tool may include a fixture structurally configured to secure the tool to a frame on a top end of a wind tower, and a rotatable shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, where the proximal end is coupled to the drive mechanism and the distal end is structurally configured to insert within a housing on the top end of the wind tower that contains a slew ring of a wind turbine disposed on the wind tower. The tool may further include a grinder disposed on the distal end of the rotatable shaft, where the grinder is structurally configured to engage the slew ring while being rotated by the drive mechanism for repair or maintenance of the slew ring.

FLEXIBLE SANDING DEVICE FOR CYLINDER ROCK SPECIMEN

A rock sanding device includes a base, a bottom sanding plate, an adjustable connecting rod, an elastic loader, a connector, a side sanding brush, a top sanding plate, an inner rod, a prong and a drill rod. The top of the drill rod is fixedly connected with the rotating shaft of the external water drilling rig and the external water drilling rig has a water inlet joint to introduce water into the drill rod. The inner rod and drill rod are connected and fixed coaxially, and the bottom of the drill rod is symmetrically welded with four prongs. The rock specimen is placed in the center of the side sanding brush. The top sanding plate and the bottom sanding plate are provided in the top side and bottom side of the rock specimen, respectively.

The pivoting control structure moves in pivoting motion to control the operating member to make the clamping member move downward or upward to clamp or to release the workpiece, and therefore the operation is very simple. Meanwhile, the operating member and the pressing unit provide a one-way self-locking function, and the elastic abutting unit presses against the cam portion of the pressing unit to create a position restricting effect. In addition to providing a stable clamping force, the operating member can be automatically locked when pivoted to a positioning position, which makes the clamping device very convenient to use.

The present invention in one or more embodiments provides a roller tool for roughening a friction ring of a brake disk, the roller tool including a roller body including inner and outer ends and a casing surface positioned therebetween, the inner end differing in cross-section dimension than the outer end, the casing surface including thereupon one or more protrusions for contacting the friction ring. The roller tool may further include a support frame supporting the roller body. The support frame may include a short leg connected to the outer end of the roller body and a long leg connected to the inner end of the roller body.
