A FLOOR SURFACING MACHINE WITH DIFFERENT DRIVE MOTORS
The present disclosure relates to a floor surfacing machine (100) comprising drive wheels (171, 172) and a planetary head (140) with one or more satellite grinding heads (120), A first drive motor (110) is arranged to drive the planetary head (140) and a second drive motor (130, 430) is arranged to drive the one or more satellite grinding heads (120). The first drive motor (110) is arranged to be directly powered only by means of a re-chargeable internal electrical power source (310) comprised in the floor surfacing machine (100).
Method and apparatus for removing stock material from a surface
Tooling is provided for mounting to a tooling plate to remove stock material from a surface based on rotation of the tooling plate about an axis. The tooling includes a backing plate and a plurality of segments. Each segment includes a bond and diamonds. The plurality of segments are secured to the backing plate such that a spacing is provided between the plurality of segments in a circumferential direction defined by an arc from a first side to a second side of the backing plate and/or a radial direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction. A method is also provided for removing stock material from a surface using the tooling.
Vacuum Sander
A vacuum sander includes a head assembly. A handle attachment is rotatable coupled to a drive to allow selective rotation of the handle attachment relative to the drive and a debris shroud about a first axis. The drive is rotatable relative to the debris shroud to allow selective rotation of the drive and the handle attachment relative to the debris shroud about a second axis different from the first axis. The drive is rotatably coupled to a forked handle attachment between two prongs thereof. The drive is configured to couple to a sanding implement and to selectively drive rotation of the sanding implement about an axis.

MOBILE CART WITH HIGH-POWER SLURRY VACUUM AND CONTAINMENT
A high-power slurry vacuum cart is well suited to collect and contain any slurry or wet residue produced through concrete and other surface processing operations. A multi-horsepower propane engine and propane tank are mounted on a mobile frame, along with a suction pump powered by the propane engine. A slurry containment vessel mounted on the frame has an input in communication with a squeegee and an output coupled to the suction pump. The squeegee may be adapted for floor contact to collect slurry for transfer to the slurry containment tank. The suction pump is directly coupled to the propane engine through a universal joint, thereby obviating the use of belts, chains or pulleys. The output of the pump may optionally be used as an air blower for surface drying, or the like, as well as use as an air blower to assist in emptying the slurry containment tank.
Sealing system for bearing assembly for floor machine
The sealing system seals the bearings of a floor machine. The sealing system provides a sealing base and a sealing head. A seal is positioned between the sealing base and the sealing head to seal the bearing. The sealing base secures to the driver plate. The sealing base extends upward above the bearing. The sealing head is positioned above the sealing base. The sealing head is positioned radially inward of the sealing base at the bearing. The sealing head extends upward above the sealing base and extends outward beyond an upper portion of the sealing base to be located radially outward from the sealing base. The seal is located at an upper portion of the sealing base. The seal is located radially outward from the sealing base. The seal is located below the sealing head at a sealing aperture located between a sealing shoulder and a sealing neck.
GRINDING HEAD ASSEMBLY AND DRIVER INTERFACE
A driver interface for a grinding head includes a center plate having top and bottom surfaces, an outer edge, a mounting channel in the top surface, and mounting pads on the bottom surface, each pad having a raised edge. An upper clamping plate is inserted within the mounting channel. A lower clamping plate defines disk locating apertures and fastens to the bottom surface of the center plate so that each of the disk locating apertures surround the raised edge of a mounting pad. The upper and lower clamping plates are removably fastened to the center plate. A disk attacher having an anchoring portion and a disk receiving portion bends around the outer edge of the center plate so that the upper clamping plate when fastened to the center plate clamps the anchoring portion between the upper clamping plate and the mounting channel, and so that the lower clamping plate when fastened to the center plate clamps the disk receiving portion to a mounting pad and within one of the disk locating apertures.
Surface repair tool
A surface repair tool for repairing defects in surfaces includes a handle with an applicator blade extending from one end of the handle and a sanding device extending from the opposite end of the handle. The handle includes a receptacle into which is removably received a container of repair compound. The applicator blade includes an application surface and a flow passage that has an inlet and an orifice formed through the application surface. Squeezing the container causes repair compound in the container to flow through the flow passage of the applicator blade and out of the orifice where it is dispensed onto the applicator surface to be spread on a surface needing repair. Once the repair compound dries, the sanding device is used to sand the repair compound to a desire finish.
Apparatus for mounting abraders to floor finishing machines
An adapter plate for use with a floor finishing machine for coupling abrasive drive plates to the spider arms of the floor finishing machine which includes a plurality of stamped plate components which when joined together form a polygon on which is mounted a plurality of hub members in which shafts are journaled for rotation in a spherical bearing. The shafts are, in turn, coupled to the abrasive drive plates.
