BLOCKING OF LENSES
An apparatus for blocking of lenses, in particular eyeglass lenses. The blocking apparatus has a blocking station, which is designed for at least partially chronologically overlapping blocking of at least two lenses directly to one block piece apiece that is provided with a block material. In addition, the blocking apparatus has an aligning apparatus which is designed for at least partially chronologically overlapping, position-controlled rotating of the lenses around three rotational axes in respectively one defined rotational position. Moreover, the blocking apparatus has a transport apparatus, which is designed, in particular, for at least partially chronologically overlapping transport of the lenses to one block piece apiece that is located in the blocking station and for holding the lenses in the respectively defined rotational position.
Systems for and methods of surfacing a composite lens blank with functional layer
Disclosed are systems and processes for generating a finished or semi-finished lens, such as a spectacle lens, from a lens blank that includes an intermediate functional layer. Some embodiments of the process involve locating the functional layer and positioning the lens blank according to the location of the functional layer. The location of the functional layer can be ascertained by measuring the thickness of one or more layers of the lens blank. The lens blank can be surfaced on one or both sides to form a finished or semi-finished lens. Other embodiments are also described.
Method of and an apparatus for manufacturing an optical lens including compensating for relative positioning shift between first and second reference frames
A method and apparatus for blocking an unfinished optical lens member on a blocker for manufacturing an optical lens from the unfinished optical lens member, the latter being provided with a finished surface having a first reference frame, the blocker having a second reference frame, includes: placing the unfinished optical lens member on the blocker; measuring the relative positioning of the first reference frame of the finished surface of the placed unfinished lens member with respect to the positioning of the second reference frame of the blocker; comparing the measured relative positioning with a predetermined relative positioning to determine a relative positioning shift; moving at least the blocker and/or the lens member to change the relative positioning of the first reference frame with respect to the second reference frame to compensate for the relative positioning shift; and blocking the unfinished lens member on the blocker at the changed relative positioning.
SPECTACLE LENS PRODUCING METHOD, SPECTACLE LENS PRODUCING SYSTEM, AND SPECTACLE LENS
The present invention is a method for producing a spectacle lens from a lens material, and includes: a marking step (step S10) of marking an identification mark for identifying the spectacle lens, and a processing information mark which is used to process a lens blank and includes a tray identification 2D code, a tray identification code, a shape line and a position mark by forming a hole or a groove in a convex surface of the lens material by laser; and a concave surface machining processing step (step S13) of reading the processing information mark, and machining a concave surface of the lens blank based on the read processing information mark.
Method and device for applying an optical mark to a spectacle lens
A method for applying an optical mark to a spectacle lens mounted in a spectacle frame includes determining an intended position of the optical mark at the spectacle lens based on the spectacle frame. The method further includes taking an image of at least a part of the spectacle frame and arranging the spectacle frame in a marking device having a marking appliance and adjusting the relative position of the spectacle frame and the marking appliance such that an actuation axis of the marking appliance intersects with the spectacle lens at the intended position of the optical mark. Additionally, the optical mark to the spectacle lens is applied at the intended position by using the marking appliance. The use of a spectacle frame as a positioning reference for an optical mark and a marking device are also disclosed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING AN OPTICAL LENS HAVING AN ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
A method of manufacturing an optical lens including at least one electronic component. The method includes providing a mechanical reference system on an optical lens blank, the optical lens blank being configured to be processed to form the optical lens, providing edging data configured to be used to edge the optical lens blank to form the optical lens, and embedding the at least one electronic component in the optical lens based on edging data and on the mechanical reference system.
LENS SUPPLY SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
The supply systems for providing spectacle ophthalmic lenses have improved efficacy, in particular with respect to lens blank picking performance and/or lens manufacturing performance.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING AN OPTICAL LENS
A device and a method for processing, in particular edge processing, an optical lens, wherein the device has a measuring system, a processing system, a loading system, an unloading system, an intermediate conveyor, and a belt conveyor. The loading system is arranged between the measuring system and the processing system. The unloading system is arranged on the opposite side of the processing system. A lens that is to be processed is picked up and oriented at the optical reference point that is determined by the measuring system in order to determine as precisely as possible the blocking point for the subsequent processing. The loading system and unloading system each have a linearly movable swiveling system with linearly movable suction devices arranged therein. The processing system is designed for the simultaneous processing of two lenses.
Centering machine for workpieces, particularly optical lenses
A cooling lubricant supply device for supply of a cooling lubricant to a grinding wheel is rotatably mounted as a tool on a grinding spindle of a processing unit in a grinding machine. The device has a feed shoe, which is mounted at least indirectly on a grinding spindle housing and seated on a circumferential surface of the grinding wheel and which has a seating surface facing the grinding wheel. The seating surface has a shape substantially complementary with the circumferential surface of the grinding wheel and is provided centrally with a pocket-like recess into which the cooling lubricant can be fed under pressure. A spring mechanism is provided, by which the feed shoe is biased with the seating surface thereof against the circumferential surface of the grinding wheel.
Device for blocking workpieces, particularly spectacle lenses, for the processing and/or coating thereof
A device for blocking workpieces has an aligning station that includes a workpiece support for aligning a workpiece. A blocking station comprises a block piece mount and serves to block the aligned workpiece by use of a block material on a block piece, which can be mounted in the block piece mount in a centered manner in relation to a substantially vertically extending blocker axis. A workpiece carriage carries a holding head for the workpiece and is suitably guided and driven to transport the workpiece from the aligning station to the blocking station to position the workpiece along the blocker axis in a defined manner relative to the block piece held in the block piece mount, and to hold the workpiece during blocking in the defined relative position to the block piece with a gap between workpiece and body piece.
