The present invention relates to a novel sanitizing device for the bottom of footwear, feet, and animal paws to kill up to 99% of pathogens. The sanitizing device is designed as a doormat and comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate different sized doorways. The doormat is durable, weather-resistant, and chemical free and uses Far-UVC lights for disinfection. The doormat includes a pressure sensor for sensing pressure on a platform of the doormat to activate Far-UVC lights for disinfection and the UVC light is emitted for a preconfigured time period for providing effective disinfection to the footwear, feet and paws placed thereon.

The body has an internal recess that has an interior reflective surface. The disinfecting cabinet also includes a cover that is attached or attachable to the body.
