METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING A FLOOR SURFACE WITH ZERO-TOLERANCE EDGING
A method and apparatus is provided for treating a floor surface with zero-tolerance edging. The apparatus includes a frame and wheels mounted to the frame so the frame can travel over the floor surface. The apparatus also includes a motor mounted to the frame and a head assembly including a bottom plate. The bottom plate is operatively coupled to the motor so that the bottom plate is configured to rotate about a first axis. The bottom plate is positioned such that a tooling plate mounted to the bottom plate is configured to treat the floor surface including an edge of the floor surface intersecting a wall surface.
Water jet reaming tool
The water jet reaming tool can avoid the need to replace a toilet (17). The curved handle (19) allows the user to stay at arm's length away from the difficult removal of mineral deposits (13) which prevent sufficient clean water (14) to flush the toilet. A reamer element (12) stands ready at the other end of the handle (19) to enter a clean water jet (15) under the toilet inner rim (16). The user views (11) the water jet (15) and the point 26 via lines of sight (18) from the reflection in the metal mirror (30) attached to the reamer element (12). The user's wrist motions cause the handle (19) to rotate the reamer element (12) and grind the mineral deposits (13) to dust.
PORTABLE ABRADING MACHINE
A portable abrading machine includes an abrading-machine main body, a battery holster, and a power-supply cord. The abrading-machine main body includes a main-body housing, which houses a motor, and an abrading part, which is configured to move with orbital motion when a motor shaft of the motor is rotated. The battery holster includes a battery-mounting part, on which a battery is mountable. The power-supply cord is configured to supply electric power from the battery, when mounted on the battery-mounting part, to the abrading-machine main body. The power-supply cord connects the abrading-machine main body and the battery holster without going through the housing.
Chamfering optical fiber
A tool for chamfering cleaved tips of optical fibers. The tool including conical bores of relatively smooth and hard material terminate at a cylindrical bore that is slightly larger than the fiber core maximum diameter and a fiber centering bore that is slightly larger than the fiber coating maximum diameter. The tool provided such that when a cleaved fiber tip is inserted into the centering bore the sharp edge falls upon the chamfering surface that, when rotated relative to the fiber, gently grinds the edge to the chamfer angle. Chamfering cannot occur on the core face due to the absence of tool surface at this dimension.

POWER TOOL SPEED CONTROL
A power tool including a housing, a battery pack interface, a user input, a speed control interface, and a controller. The battery pack interface is configured to receive a removable and rechargeable battery pack. The user input is configured to control driving of a motor when actuated by a user. The speed control interface includes a first interface portion and a second interface portion. The first interface portion includes a capacitive touch surface configured to generate a speed setting signal in response to detecting a touch of the user. The second interface portion includes a display that includes a plurality of indicators configured to indicate a speed setting of the power tool. The controller includes a memory and an electronic processor. The controller is configured to receive the speed setting signal, and control, in response to the actuation of the user input, the motor to the speed setting.
