Carbon dioxide cleaning system with specialized dispensing head
A cleaning system that utilizes a dispensing head to spray carbon dioxide and a propellant against a surface. The carbon dioxide being propelled includes solid phase crystals. A supply line is used to feed the carbon dioxide to a dispensing head. Within the dispensing head, a first manifold chamber receives the carbon dioxide. A plurality of pathways link the first manifold chamber to a plurality of output nozzles. Each of the pathways contains an internal configuration that induces a formation of solid phase carbon dioxide crystals as the carbon dioxide from the supply line flows through the pathways toward the output nozzles. The propellant enters the dispensing head and flows into a second manifold chamber. The second manifold chamber has an exit opening near, or at, the output nozzles. As carbon dioxide, in both gas and solid phase, exits the output nozzles, it is accelerated by the propellant.
Abrasive media dispensing apparatus for use with an excavator
An omnidirectional blast media dispensing apparatus mounted to an excavator and designed to dispense abrasive media from a blast pot is provided. The apparatus adjusts directional flow of the abrasive media exiting the apparatus to contact a desired target. The apparatus includes a housing coupled to the boom of the excavator, a hydraulic motor assembly coupled to the housing and operably connected to hydraulic lines of the excavator, and a main tubular member rotatably mounted to the housing and operably connected to the hydraulic motor assembly. The first end of the main tubular member is coupled to the blast pot and a nozzle is coupled to the second end of the main tubular member. Fluid flows from the hydraulic lines of the excavator to the hydraulic motor assembly to enable the hydraulic motor assembly to rotatably adjust the main tubular member to direct the nozzle toward the target.

Liquid pressurization pump and systems with data storage
The invention features methods and apparatuses for altering a cutting operation during operation of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system. A pressurized liquid jet cutting system includes a pressurized fluid jet cutting head having a plurality of components. The cutting head further includes a sensor configured to sense an operating condition. The sensor transmits a value of the operating condition to a computing device, which alters a subsequent cutting operation. Further, the fluid jet cutting head is configured to work with a data storage mechanism and a reader, such that the data storage mechanism in contact with a body of the fluid jet cutting head is configured to communicate information to a reader of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system. The information is usable to determine a condition of replacement (e.g., a remaining usable life) of the replaceable component, change an operating pressure, change a cutting speed, or alter another operating parameter of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system.
Device, system, and method for cleaning the interior of the tubes in air-cooled heat exchangers
A device and system are disclosed to clean the interior of tubes in air-cooled heat exchangers. The device is attached at each end of a tube by electromagnetism; either directly to a ferromagnetic tube header, or to a ferromagnetic plate secured to a non-ferromagnetic plug-type header or to a plate-type header of any metal. High pressure air with entrained dry finely-divided abrasive is conducted through a nozzle supported by the device. At the other end of the tube, another device supports a nozzle that captures the air, spent abrasive, and removed material. Spent abrasive and removed material are separated by filtration from the air before the air is exhausted to the environment. Tubes are cleaned to a bright metal condition, suitable for inspection or application of a corrosion-resistant coating, or to a lesser level of cleanliness appropriate for return to service.
