METHODS FOR WOUND HEALING
20230093013 · 2023-03-23 ·

The invention relates to plasmids capable of expressing a protein targeting immune cells when transformed into a lactic acid bacterial cell, wherein the protein is chosen from the group consisting of murine and human CXCL12 1α; CXCL17 and Ym1. The invention further relates to lactic acid bacteria transformed with a said plasmid, as well as the use of said lactic acid bacteria for wound healing in humans and animals.

LIQUID DRESSING COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR VETERINARY USES
20230087131 · 2023-03-23 ·

Liquid dressing compositions liquid for veterinary use in the treatment or prevention of infection and/or wounds are described that comprise shellac, an anti-infective metal active and a solvent. The compositions are capable of forming a barrier when topically applied to a non-human animal subject, providing an easily applied barrier for protecting lesions and other wounds from external infective agents in a veterinary setting.

Powdered collagen compositions and methods for wound care or the dressing or treatment of wounds in a subject in need thereof. The powdered collagen wound care composition includes powdered collagen or collagen-based material substantially covered with a hydrophobic barrier. In at least some instances, the hydrophobic barrier prevents the complete absorption or dissolution of the powdered collage or collagen-based material when placed on or in a wound or body of a subject for at least three (3) days. The powdered collagen wound care compositions are suitable for dressing or packing wounds or post-surgical incisions.

A fibrous birth tissue composition fabricated from placental tissue is provided. Methods of processing a mammal's placental tissue to form a fibrous birth tissue composition are provided. Regenerative methods are also provided.

TISSUE REPAIR SYSTEM

An implant for promoting accelerated wound healing. The implant comprises a non-flocculating fiber material, admixed with a settable fluid. The fiber component typically will have short fiber lengths, so as to avoid forming entangled masses or clumps when mixed with a fluid. In an embodiment, the fiber material is native collagen fibers and the settable fluid is an isolated blood fraction, such as platelet rich plasma and platelet poor plasma. The native collagen fiber retaining the native crosslinks of the source tissue and providing an architectural and structural scaffolding for advancing cellular infiltration. The wound healing implant will accelerate the bodies healing process, to provide better healing and less scar tissue of the wound site.

HUMAN TISSUE DERIVED COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF

Disclosed are compositions comprising a non-homogenized chorionic matrix, a homogenized amniotic matrix and a homogenized UC (UC) matrix, wherein the non-homogenized chorionic matrix comprises viable cells. Disclosed are methods of making the compositions disclosed herein comprising preparing a non-homogenized chorionic matrix, preparing a homogenized amniotic matrix, preparing a homogenized UC matrix, and combining the non-homogenized chorionic matrix, the non-homogenized chorionic matrix, and the homogenized UC matrix. Disclosed are methods of treating a tissue injury or chronic pain comprising administering any of the disclosed compositions to an area of a subject comprising a tissue injury.

Use of photosynthetic scaffolds in tissue engineering

The present invention is concerned with a photosynthetic scaffold that delivers oxygen and its uses for tissue engineering and the treatment of ischemia.
