ENHANCED BIOLOGIC GRAFTS WITH PACKAGING APPARATUSES, AND METHODS OF USE
Enhanced biologic grafts with packaging apparatuses, and methods of use are disclosed herein. An example apparatus can include a vessel comprising a port that is configured to allow a fluid to be introduced into the vessel and a membrane placed within the vessel. The membrane is lyophilized prior to placement into the vessel. The membrane is sealed within the vessel and the port can be used to introduce a fluid into the vessel to reconstitute the membrane while sealed inside the vessel.
Powdered collagen wound care compositions
Powdered collagen compositions and methods for wound care or the dressing or treatment of wounds in a subject in need thereof. The powdered collagen wound care composition includes powdered collagen or collagen-based material substantially covered with a hydrophobic barrier. In at least some instances, the hydrophobic barrier prevents the complete absorption or dissolution of the powdered collage or collagen-based material when placed on or in a wound or body of a subject for at least three (3) days. The powdered collagen wound care compositions are suitable for dressing or packing wounds or post-surgical incisions.
CELL PREPARATION FOR EXTEMPORANEOUS USE, USEFUL FOR HEALING AND REJUVENATION IN VIVO
The present invention relates to new plasma or new platelet-rich plasma preparations, new cell dissociation methods, new cell associations or compositions, a method of preparation thereof, a use thereof, devices for the preparation thereof and preparations containing such a platelet-rich plasma preparation and cell associations or compositions. Specifically, the invention provides plasma or platelet-rich plasma alone or in cell composition preparations for use in tissue regeneration and bone regeneration and pain reduction.
COLORED BIOLOGIC WOUND TREATMENT PROVIDING HEALING PROGRESS MONITORING
Tissue-regenerating wound treatments, methods of producing tissue-regenerating wound treatments, and methods of treating a wound using a tissue-regenerating wound treatment are provided. The tissue-regenerating wound treatment includes a skin substitute and a coloring agent added to the skin substitute. The coloring agent is a biocompatible coloring agent that degrades upon protease attack within a treated wound.
WOUND TREATMENTS AND METHODS OF STABILIZING, PROTECTING, AND TREATING A WOUND
Wound treatments and wound treatment methods are provided that includes particles of decellularized fish skin. A predetermined percentage of at least a first portion of the particles of decellularized fish skin have a greatest dimension within a predetermined size threshold maximum and a minimum size threshold that is effective to preserve a matrix structure of the decellularized fish skin and to promote cellular regenerative ingrowth into a wound.
Composition comprising collagen and honey
A composition comprising collagen and honey can be produced by addition of an aqueous solution of honey to an aqueous suspension of collagen. The composition is for use in medicine and particularly for use in the treatment of a wound. A method for treatment of a wound comprises administering the composition topically to the skin of a patient.
Methods for adhering tissue surfaces and materials and biomedical uses thereof
The present invention relates to methods for adhering tissue surfaces and materials and biomedical uses thereof. In particular the present invention relates to a method for adhering a first tissue surface to a second tissue surface in a subject in need thereof, comprising the steps of adsorbing a layer of nanoparticles on at least one of the tissue surfaces, and approximating the surfaces for a time sufficient for allowing the surfaces to adhere to each other. The present invention also relates to a method for adhering a material to a biological tissue in a subject in need thereof, comprising the steps of adsorbing a layer of nanoparticles on the surface of the material and/or the biological tissue and approximating the material and the biological tissue for a time sufficient for allowing the material and the biological tissue to adhere to each other.
Nanocomposite ionic-covalent entanglement reinforcement mechanism and hydrogel
A biodegradable and biocompatible three dimensional construct comprising a combination of a nano silicate (e.g., laponite) and two different polymers, the two polymers each individually providing at least one covalently linked polymer chain and at least one ionically linked polymer chain, the polymeric chains forming a dual strengthening intertwined polymeric system. The constructs demonstrate improved mechanical and strength properties, while the bioinks provide a material having superior printability characteristics suitable for printing a three dimensional biodegradable construct having an aspect ratio of greater than 2.0. The bioink may also comprise cells or combinations of cells. Methods of using the constructs and bioinks for wound healing preparations and tissue regeneration are also provided.
