Workholding system using quarter turn device
A workholding system includes a quarter turn fastener used in workholding applications to quickly hold and release objects, such as tooling, parts, and plates. In one embodiment, a T-slot fastener facilitates the creation of an entire workholding system that facilitates the rapid installation of studs into receiving members. The compact design also makes possible the ability to insert the quarter turn fastener into a device that can fit into a T-slot and still have considerable holding power. The system is lower in cost than other solutions.
Straight edge clamp
The present invention relates to a straight edge clamp that has a clamping head assembly and a stop assembly mounted upon the body of the straight edge. The head and stop are not connected together and the stop assembly is free to move with respect to the head assembly. The straight edge clamp body includes at least two sections that are hinged together to allow the sections to be folded upon one another when not in use and unfolded when in use.
MODULAR SIDE-BY-SIDE VISE STRUCTURE
A modular side-by-side vise structure comprises a base, a fixture block group located on the base, and a side clamping piece group; the side clamping piece has an upper part and a lower part, and a bolt is screwed in the upper part to prop the lower part, so that the stopper and movable fixture block cling to the base tightly; or the side grooves on both sides of the stopper and movable fixture block are provided with bolt holes, and the inner wall of side clamping piece is provided with a punch hole, the bolt is screwed in the bolt hole through the punch hole, so that the stopper and movable fixture block cling to the base tightly. Therefore, it is unnecessary to hold up the side clamping piece with a hand while tightening or loosening the bolt, favorable for the technician to implement quick assembly or disassembly.
VICE JAW ASSEMBLY
A vice jaw assembly includes a unitary body that has a top side, a bottom side, a front side, a rear side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The top side has an elongated channel therein spaced from the front side and the rear side and defined by a bottom wall, a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall. The bottom wall has a plurality of first wells extending therein each engageable with a male coupler. The bottom wall has a plurality of second wells extending therein each engageable with a male coupler. Each of the second wells is centered within one of a plurality of annular depressions. Each of the annular depressions extends into the bottom wall and has a circular shape. The annular depressions each extend into the first lateral wall such that the lateral wall includes a plurality of semi-cylindrical grooves therein.
SKI TUNING VISE
A vise system is provided to retain a workpiece. In an embodiment, the vise system comprises one or more center vise and one or more end vises. The center vises and end vises are clamped to a table or workbench. The center vise is provided with a front jaw and a rear jaw to retain the center of the work. The end vises are provided with workpiece clamps to retain the ends of the workpiece.
Convertible two station vise
A two-station self-centering vise to hold a pair of work pieces is described. The pieces are held in place against a centered fixed jaw, being clamped against the centered fixed jaw by a pair of movable jaws located on either side of the centered jaw and that simultaneously move toward or away from the centered jaw on actuation of a lead screw. The vise may be converted to a single station vise by removable of the fixed center jaw. A spring loaded, adjustable, friction pad attached to the base of one of the two movable jaws enables temporary clamping of a first work piece while the second workpiece is being installed and once both workpieces are in place the lead screw is turned further to securely and accurately hold the workpieces in between the movable jaws and the fixed central jaw.
MODULAR VISE
A vise having a modular construction that allows for ease of manufacture, assembly, and changeover or replacement of wear items, such as gripping surfaces of jaws of the vise. The modular construction also provides for reduced weight of the vise compared to conventional cast type vises. The vise also incorporates quick adjustment features allowing for the vise to be easily rotated, a position and size of an opening of the jaws to be rapidly adjusted, and a clamping force applied with ease.
Reconfigurable vises and related methods
Disclosed are vises for machining work pieces. More specifically, disclosed may be a vise compatible with interchangeable or reconfigurable jaws positioned along a base with either (a) parallel and lengthwise series of securing ports or (b) parallel and lengthwise tracks.
Straight edge clamp
The present invention relates to a straight edge clamp that has a clamping head assembly and a stop assembly mounted upon the body of the straight edge. The head and stop are not connected together and the stop assembly is free to move with respect to the head assembly. The stop assembly has a locking assembly that allows it to be locked to the straight edge. The straight edge clamp body can include sections that are adapted to be connected together to form the overall length of the straight edge clamp.
Grip vise
A vise includes a stationary jaw at one end of a rail and including a moveable jaw member having a clamping surface, and a lever having a cam at one end engaged with the jaw member; and a moveable jaw on the rail and including a moveable member engaging with a limit member at the other end of the rail; a jaw element having one end secured to the moveable member and having a clamping surface at the other end, an internal moveable wedge secured to the clamping surface of the jaw element and having first and second inclined surfaces; two opposite arms pivotably secured to the moveable member wherein one ends of the arms contact each other and engage with the first and second inclined surfaces respectively, and each arm has a cavity on an outer edge; and two urging blocks complimentarily engaging the arms respectively.
