Clamping assembly
A clamping assembly is provided. The clamping assembly includes a base member having a base portion and an extension portion. The clamping assembly further includes a piston that is adapted to move first and second guide members toward the base portion to move first and second wedge members, respectively, in first and second directions, respectively, on the extension portion to lift a wedge coupling member relative to the extension portion. The clamping assembly further includes a shaft coupled to the wedge coupling member that is further coupled to a clamping arm.
Fixture for supporting a workpiece
A fixture for holding a workpiece includes clamps configured to engage tie rods secured to the workpiece, locating pins configured to engage a corresponding pin secured to the workpiece, pads, and actuators configured to move clamps for alternately drawing the workpiece into contact with the pads and disengaging the tie rod from the clamp such that the fixture assembly can release the workpiece.
DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING THEM TO ASSEMBLE TWO OR MORE WORKPIECES TO EACH OTHER
Certain embodiments described herein are directed to devices which can be used to safely secure two or more workpieces to each other, e.g., to secure a cabinet face frame to a cabinet frame. In some examples, the device comprises a base configured to engage a first surface of the first workpiece and to receive an attachment device. The base can also be configured to engage a first surface of a second workpiece. The device may also comprise piston means configured to engage the second workpiece at a second surface. The device may comprise one or more plungers that can be used to actuate the attachment device to permit fastening of the workpieces once properly arranged. Methods of using the device are also described.
Clamping and positioning device and operation method thereof
A clamping and positioning device includes a base, a rotary member, a moving assembly and an elastic member. The rotary member is rotatably disposed on the base and includes a stopping surface facing the base. The moving assembly includes a moving member movably disposed on the base to have a first and a second position. When being at the first position, the moving member is pressed against the rotary member to allow the stopping surface to apply a normal force to the base; when being at the second position, a gap is formed between the moving member and the rotary member so the normal force applied by the stopping surface of the rotary member is released from the base. The elastic member has two ends connected to the base and the moving member, respectively. The elastic member normally causes the moving member to be at the first position.
Positioning workpieces by clamping devices
Methods, devices, and systems for positioning workpieces for processing. In one aspect, a clamping device includes two clamping elements and a servo drive provided for the clamping elements. The servo drive is operable to first move at least one of the clamping elements toward the other of the clamping elements such that the clamping elements are transferred into a clamping start position in which the clamping elements are positioned on opposite sides of a workpiece arranged therebetween and in which the clamping elements do not apply a force to the workpiece or apply a force to the workpiece that is smaller than a clamping force, and subsequently urge the clamping elements toward one another from the clamping start position to an operational state, in which the clamping elements apply the clamping force to the workpiece.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING VEHICLE MEMBER
An apparatus and a method for correcting a vehicle member, by which twisting or deflection of a vehicle member including a side member of the vehicle, may be corrected, may be disclosed, wherein the apparatus for correcting a vehicle member includes a base extending in a lengthwise direction thereof, and a plurality of correction units disposed on the base to be movable.
PRESSING DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A ROOF PANEL TO SIDE ELEMENTS OF VEHICLES
A pressing device for pressing a first component, such as a roof panel, onto an additional component, such as one or more a vehicle side bodywork components or vehicle side bodywork supports. A hose is arranged in a housing and is filled with a fluid to selectively press the first component onto the additional component to facilitate a laser brazing operation by closing a gap between the first component and the additional component. A T-shaped pressure element is arranged in the housing and is moved relative to the housing by controlling the pressure of the fluid supplied to the hose.
PALLET DEVICE, MACHINE TOOL AND MACHINING SYSTEM WHICH CLAMP WORKPIECE
A pallet device which can prevent a hook fixed to a pallet from interfering with a workpiece or a tool for a machine tool. The pallet device includes a pallet including a pallet main body which clamps a workpiece, and a replacement hook movably provided in the pallet main body, the replacement hook being movable between a projection position at which the replacement hook projects outside the pallet main body and a retraction position to which the replacement hook is retracted from the projection position to the pallet main body, and a jig to and from which the pallet is attached and detached.
Rapid Assembly System
A rapid assembly system includes a mounting and a plate removably mounted onto the mounting. The system has connection devices between the plate and the mounting. Each device also includes a clamping means for holding the plate against the mounting; a tooth having a pair of tooth engagement surfaces arranged in a V-shape, the theoretical intersection of which extends in a tooth direction; and a groove with a pair of groove engagement surfaces for engaging the tooth engagement surfaces.
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER AND CLAMP DEVICE
A hydraulic cylinder includes a rod insertion hole formed in a piston member, an auxiliary rod provided to a head side end wall member and capable of being inserted into the rod insertion hole, a rod fitting hole formed to pass through the head side end wall member and the auxiliary rod, a movable rod installed in the rod fitting hole and whose end portion toward a head side end wall projects to the exterior, a movement restriction mechanism that prohibits shifting of the movable rod in an unclamping state and permits shifting of the movable rod in a clamping state.
