Apparatuses and methods for structurally replacing cracked welds in nuclear power plants
An apparatus configured to structurally replace a cracked weld in a nuclear plant may include: a first body portion that includes a first gripping portion; a second body portion that includes a second gripping portion; a wedge portion between the first and second body portions; and/or an adjustment portion. The first body portion may be configured to slidably engage the second body portion. The wedge portion may be configured to exert force on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. The adjustment portion may be configured to increase or decrease the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. When the adjustment portion increases the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions, a distance between the first and second gripping portions may decrease.

Clamping device
A clamping device, embodiments of which are well suited to securing the tail of a fish, is provided. The device includes one or more clamp arms with actuation bars fixed thereto for causing the clamp arms to pivot when the actuation bars are pushed against an object to be clamped. A locking mechanism locks the clamp arms into the clamped position.
Straight edge bar with clamp and spreader
A straight edge bar clamp spreader comprises a straight edge bar, an inner channel portion, parallel channel portions, and two-way bosses or divots, a clamp, and a clamp-spreader. The inner channel portion is provided along an elongated central region of the bottom surface of the straight edge bar with a constant cross-section. The parallel channel portions are provided along two elongated parallel regions of the top surface of the straight edge bar. The two-way bosses or divots are provided across and on an inner surface of the inner channel portion of the bottom surface and an outer surface of the top surface and configured to define the predetermined stopping positions for two-way movements along the bottom surface or the top surface. The clamp is installed in the inner channel portion of the bottom surface. The clamp-spreader is installed in the pair of parallel channel portions of the top surface.
Press tool systems and methods
A press tool employs a drive system that allows a first portion to be displaced relative to a second portion. A drive surface is supported by the second portion. A receiving member defines an engaging surface and a receiving cavity. The receiving member is supported by the first portion along a drive axis extending through the drive surface. Operation of the drive system displaces the drive surface relative to the receiving member.
Pipe Alignment Clamp
A pipe alignment clamp for use in pipe fitting/fabrication applications. The pipe alignment clamp has a generally circular frame with at least one hinge therealong to enable the clamp to be opened and subsequently secured around a pair of pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined. Threaded support members are positioned along the frame in spaced apart fashion, and extend outwardly from each side of the frame. The support members are used to support alignment screws that can be independently repositioned radially towards and away from the pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined, thereby enabling the alignment clamp to accommodate a wide variety of different shapes and sizes of pipe segments and fittings, and requiring a minimum length of pipe segment to operate. The adjustment screws may be manipulated by hand, or by a separate alignment screw tool, which may be included as part of a pipe alignment kit.

Turbine nozzle port seal for machining
This disclosure provides a devices and systems for securing a gas turbine nozzle segment and sealing one or more cooling cavities of the gas turbine nozzle segment during manufacturing. The device can have a support assembly for receiving a nozzle segment having at least one cooling cavity. The device can have at least one clamp assembly configured to secure a first portion of the nozzle segment to the support assembly. The at least one clamp assembly having a first clamp arm, and a first tightening assembly coupling the first clamp arm to the support assembly. The device can have a first port seal assembly having at least one sealing member coupled to the first seal body and configured to interact with and seal the corresponding one or more cooling cavities.
CLAMPING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR A VICE
In a clamping device (1), in particular vice, the clamping device comprising: a housing (2) which is U-shaped in cross-section and in which one or two guideways (8) extending in a linear direction are incorporated, at least one base jaw (11) which is mounted in the guideway (8) and in which an internal thread (12) is provided, and a drive spindle (9) which is rotatably mounted in the respective housing (2), is arranged parallel to the guideway (8) and is driveably coupled to the respective base jaw (11),
the threads (10) worked into the drive spindle (9), through which the torques from the crank are transmitted for the linear displacement of the base jaws (11), should be permanently encapsulated in a watertight and airtight manner irrespective of the position of the base jaws (11) or the drive spindle (9), and on the other hand the adjustment travel (s) of the base jaws (11) or clamping jaws (13) should be as large as possible in order to clamp workpieces with configurations that can be completely different without the need for time-consuming and complicated conversion measures.
This is achieved in that a right-hand thread and a left-hand thread (10) are worked onto the drive spindle (9) in regions, in that the respective thread (10) of the drive spindle (9) is enclosed or encapsulated by a cover sleeve (21), in that the cover sleeve (21) has a right-hand thread and a left-hand internal thread (22), which are driveably coupled to the respective thread (10) of the drive spindle (9), in that a right-hand and a left-hand external thread (23), which is in engagement with the respective internal thread (12) of the base jaw (11), is worked on to the cover sleeve (21).
Device for assembling panels
An apparatus for assembling a panel, the apparatus including a main support, a press head and a movable stop, where the movable stop has at least two adjustable tensioning elements, a stop element and gripping mechanisms, each of the adjustable tensioning elements including a front end and a rear end, each admitting at least one opening position and one closing position, where the stop element is joined in an articulated way to the front ends of the adjustable tensioning elements, where the gripping mechanisms are joined to the rear ends of the adjustable tensioners, the gripping mechanisms admitting a first position in which the adjustable tensioning elements are configured in the opening position and a second position wherein the adjustable tensioning elements are configured in the closing position.
