HVAC fire damper tool
A fire damper tool is provided for assisting a user opening the shutters of an HVAC fire damper after the shutters have closed. The device comprises a scissor tool that is hand-driven for separating the closed shutters without requiring the user to exert force on the doors while opening. The tool comprises a first and second set of scissor arms connected to a common pin. A threaded rod connects the proximal ends of the scissor arms along one side of the pin, while the distal ends of the scissor arms are positioned between the closed fire damper doors. A hand driven nut draws the proximal ends of the scissor arms together, causing the proximal ends thereof to spread, and in turn spread the fire damper doors. The tool is useful for confined areas where mechanical advantage is necessary for separating items, and is particularly suited for commercial HVAC applications.
Clamping Tool
A clamping tool of the type including a C-shaped body and a drive screw with a threaded portion in mechanical communication with a threaded receiver in one end of the C-shaped body and including at least two threaded receivers in one end of the C-shaped body, each adapted to separately and independently receive and support the threaded portion of the drive screw. A backstop may be included with a backstop pin extending from a surface of the backstop and at least two non-collinear backstop bushings in a second end of the C-shaped body. The at least two non-collinear backstop bushings may each be adapted to receive and support the backstop pin of the backstop, thereby providing more than one position of the backstop on the C-shaped body.
CLAMPING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Disclosed herein is a clamping apparatus that includes an upper jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, a lower jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, and a hinge located at the hinge ends of the upper and lower jaw structures, the hinge providing for rotation of upper jaw structure with respect to the lower jaw structure. The clamping apparatus includes an elongated element threadably attached to the first and second upper jaw structures between the hinge end and the clamp end of each of the first and second upper jaw structures, wherein rotation of the elongated element in a first direction causes the clamp end of the upper jaw structure to move closer to the clamp end of the lower jaw structure. The elongated element includes an end configured to receive a tool configured to facilitate the rotation of the elongated element.
Modular, cam locked soft jaw for holding workpieces securely and accurately in a machine tool
The present invention relates to a clamping mechanism that is configured to securely hold a workpiece in a machine tool, such as, but not limited to a vertical machining center, or a horizontal machining center, etc. More specifically, the clamping mechanism is configured as a modular soft jaw. A multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be used to cooperatively secure large workpieces. Furthermore, a multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be incorporated into a job set-up so a multiplicity of workpieces can be processed concurrently. The present invention's clamping mechanism can be secured in orientations such as, but not limited to a machine tool table bed, a fixture plate, a tombstone, etc. The present invention's modular, soft jaw clamping mechanism can be used in conjunction with other work holding equipment, such as, but not limited to jigs, fixtures, tools, vises, clamps, etc.

VISE
A vise is provided, including: a pushing block, including at least one pushing side, each said pushing side including at least one first pushing abutting inclined surface and at least one first restriction structure, each said first restriction structure having a first sliding abutting inclined surface; at least one clamping block, each said clamping block including at least one second restriction structure, each said second restriction structure including at least one second sliding abutting inclined surface, the at least one second restriction structure of each said clamping block slidably restrictable with the at least one first restriction structure, each said second restriction structure and one said first restriction structure restrictably abutting against each other and non-detachable on a direction perpendicular to a sliding path of the clamping block, the second sliding abutting inclined surface parallel to the first sliding abutting inclined surface.
Adjustable Torque Clamping Fixture
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide an adjustable torque clamping fixture, including a clamping body driven by a threaded rod to move and used for clamping an object. The threaded rods implements an axial movement thereof by means of screw thread transmission. An adjustable torque handle is configured at the rear end of the threaded rod. The maximum clamping force is adjusted by the adjustable torque handle. When the maximum clamping force is attained, continued application of a torque on the threaded rod by the handle results in slippage, so that no larger clamping force can be applied, thus implementing precision clamping, and preventing the clamped object from being damaged by an excessive torque. The adjustable torque clamping fixture overcomes the shortcoming of a manual clamping fixture known to inventors of which the magnitude of the clamping force is difficult to determine during use.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HOLDING AND/OR USING A TOOL
Apparatuses for holding a tool used for performing a task and methods for performing a task are provided. In one example, the apparatus includes a movable base that is configured to move along a floor surface. A multi-axis arm is coupled to the movable base and is configured to pivotally move in multiple directions. A holding member is coupled to the multi-axis arm and is configured to hold the tool in a position and while moving the tool by moving the movable base and/or pivotally moving the multi-axis arm.
3D PRINTING SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL BLOOD VESSEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL BLOOD VESSEL USING SAME
The present invention relates to a three-dimensional (3D) printing system for manufacturing an artificial blood vessel and a method for manufacturing an artificial blood vessel using the same, wherein a cylindrical support having a hollow 3D porous structure including a thermoplastic polymer is manufactured and vertically fixed, and a hydrogel divided into at least two sections is discharged into the support, thereby maintaining the structure and shape constantly even after printing and manufacturing an artificial blood vessel having a hollow multilayered structure. The 3D printing system for manufacturing an artificial blood vessel comprises: a rotatable support manufacturing unit which forms a hollow cylindrical support having a 3D porous structure by discharging a polymer to the outer circumference thereof through a first head; a first head which forms a hollow cylindrical support having a 3D porous structure by discharging a polymer to the support manufacturing unit; a support vertically holding the hollow cylindrical support manufactured through the first head; and a second head which discharges a hydrogel, divided into at least two sections, into the cylindrical support vertically held and fixed to the support.
