A pneumatic crankshaft clamp assembly for retaining a crankshaft during processing having a housing for supporting the crankshaft and a clamp arm pivotally coupled to the housing for movement between a clamp position and an unclamp position. The clamp arm engaging the crankshaft to retain the crankshaft in contact with the housing in the clamp position and be spaced apart from the crankshaft in the unclamp position. The proximal end of the clamp arm having a cam follower. The assembly further having a pneumatic piston disposed within a piston cylinder of the housing. The pneumatic piston is moveable in response to pneumatic pressure. The piston having a cam formed thereon engaging the cam follower of the lifting arm such that the lifting arm moves in response to pneumatic pressure.

COMPRESSION JAW ASSEMBLY UNIT

A compression jaw assembly unit for a compressing device for compressing tubular metal parts includes a compression jaw carrier (17) and a compression jaw (16), provided at the compression jaw carrier (17), with a compressing surface (18) that is oriented essentially facing away from the compression jaw carrier (17) and is curved transversely to a compression jaw longitudinal direction (L.sub.B) in a compression jaw transverse direction (Q.sub.B). The compression jaw (16) includes a fixed compression jaw segment (22), which is fixed to the compression jaw carrier (17) and provides a compressing surface segment (24), and at least one movable compression jaw segment (26, 28) providing a compressing surface segment (30, 32). The at least one movable compressing surface segment (26, 28) can be moved in a direction of movement (B) in relation to the fixed compressing surface segment (22) against the prestressing action of a prestressing device (42).

Pipe Alignment Clamp
20200254589 · 2020-08-13 ·

A pipe alignment clamp for use in pipe fitting/fabrication applications. The pipe alignment clamp has a generally circular frame with at least one hinge therealong to enable the clamp to be opened and subsequently secured around a pair of pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined. Threaded support members are positioned along the frame in spaced apart fashion, and extend outwardly from each side of the frame. The support members are used to support alignment screws that can be independently repositioned radially towards and away from the pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined, thereby enabling the alignment clamp to accommodate a wide variety of different shapes and sizes of pipe segments and fittings, and requiring a minimum length of pipe segment to operate. The adjustment screws may be manipulated by hand, or by a separate alignment screw tool, which may be included as part of a pipe alignment kit.

WORKPIECE HOLDER
20200246941 · 2020-08-06 · ·

A workpiece holder, which does not require actual parts matching as required in a related-art automatic pallet changer, and has higher maintainability than a related-art automatic pallet changer. The workpiece-side jig includes a workpiece-side fitting element provided on a surface opposed to the master-side jig. The master-side jig includes: a master-side fitting element to be fitted to the workpiece-side fitting element, which is provided on a surface opposed to the workpiece-side jig; a rotary pressing member to be brought into abutment against the workpiece-side fitting element fitted to the master-side fitting element to press the workpiece-side fitting element toward the master-side jig; and a rotational drive source configured to rotate the rotary pressing member. When the rotary pressing member is rotated by the rotational drive source, the rotary pressing member is brought into abutment against the workpiece-side fitting element to press the workpiece-side fitting element toward the master-side jig.

Pole clamp

Presented here is a pole clamp that can be operated by a single hand, and which can clamp onto objects of various sizes and shapes. The clamp can be operated using a handle which, when pushed in an opening direction opposite a base member, opens the jaws on the clamp. The motion of the handle can adjust the opening of the jaws. In addition, the opening of the jaws can be adjusted using a thumb dial which can shorten and lengthen a locking member, which in turn adjusts the opening of the jaws. The clamp can lock onto the object when the handle is pushed in a direction opposite the opening direction, past the dead center point, and the locking member prevents further movement of the handle.
