Work holding devices
A work holding device that secures a workpiece includes a first support column, a second support column, and a plurality of part fixturing anchors. The first support column and the second support column are coupled to one another forming a longitudinal loading envelope having a width-wise dimension, a height-wise dimension, and a length-wise dimension. At least one of the support columns includes a plurality of part fixturing recesses passing through the support column in the width-wise dimension and arranged within the height-wise dimension and the length-wise dimension of the longitudinal loading envelope. The part fixturing anchors extend through the support column at the part fixturing recesses into the longitudinal loading envelope and couple the workpiece to the first and second support columns.
Tube Clamping Hand Tool
A handheld clamping tool is provided that is adapted to clamp to and secure rounded work pieces, including lengths of tubing without damaging the same. The tool comprises a locking clamp embodiment and a plyer clamp embodiment, whereby the tool includes a pair of jaws with one or more semicircular apertures therealong that align to form rounded openings when the jaws are brought together. In one embodiment, the tool includes a movable jaw and a fixed jaw, along with a handle and grip that are lockable in a static state. Along the upper portion of the locking embodiment is a vice block in which the locking clamp can be held by a bench vice and the tool can support a tube without interaction by the user. In another embodiment, the tool comprises a pair of handles, a pair of jaws, and a fixed pivot point between the handles.
Centering feature in low profile clamp
The present invention relates to a low profile clamp in which one or both contact surfaces of upper and lower circumferential end portions have a non-flat and preferably complementary cross-sectional shape in the width direction of the band material. Thereby, sliding contact of the upper contact surface on the lower contact surface provides a self-centering effect of the band end portions during a band closing action.
WIRE SUPPORTING CLAMPS
A wire supporting clamp is provided and includes a base member, a support spine, a first cable saddle, and a first compression leg. The base member has a proximal end and a distal end. The support spine is arranged on the proximal end of the base member and extends from the base member. The first cable saddle is positioned on the base member. The first compression leg is deformably connected to the support spine and spaced apart from the first cable saddle. The base member includes a first aperture arranged therein, and the first compression leg includes a second aperture arranged therein. The first and second aperture are aligned such that the first and second aperture are configured to have a securing member pass therethrough, where the securing member is configured to apply pressure to the first compression leg to deform the first compression leg into a compressed position.
Clamping Ring for a Fitting and Fitting with a Clamping Ring
A clamping ring for a fitting for a connection to a pipe, having a plurality of ring elements. The ring elements being designed to hold and/or fix a pipe to be inserted. At least one ring element is designed as a inhibiting element with a radially inwardly directed cam. The cam is designed to be elastically pivotable outwards in the radial direction and that the cam has a radially inwardly directed curved surface. The invention also relates to a fitting and a system including a fitting and a pipe. The clamping ring leads to improved self-locking of the inserted pipe.
System and Method for Tube Notching
The design of the vise mechanism in this Tube Notching Device increases capabilities to position the cutting tool relative to the feedstock. This device holds feedstock, centering the feedstock latitudinally and longitudinally to the cutting bit allowing cuts to be reproduced true to each other due to the design of the vise mechanism. Existing tube notching devices allow for the cutting tool to be pivoted relative to the feedstock in one axis, and have vices that only center in one axis. The effectiveness of this tube notching device is increased by the ability of the cutting tool to both translate in one direction and pivot in 2 axes relative to the feedstock, as well as have a vice that can canter feedstock horizontally and vertically. This increased adjustability allows the vise and cutting head to be closer together, which increases safety, operator comfort, and cutting bit life.
Adjustable pipe clamp
An adjustable clamp for welding together pipes, the adjustable clamp having a first axis perpendicular to the pipes and a second axis parallel to the pipes. The adjustable clamp includes four clamp corners, four transverse bolts, two parallel bolts, two threaded inserts, and four spaces. Each clamp corner includes a first transverse aperture, a second transverse aperture, and a third parallel aperture. The first and second apertures are transverse relative to the first axis and the third aperture is parallel relative to the first axis. Each transverse bolt is securable within the first and second transverse apertures of the four clamp corners. Each parallel bolt is securable within the third apertures of the four clamp corners. Each threaded insert is placeable within the third apertures of the four clamp corners and each threaded insert is mated with a respective parallel bolt. Each spacer surrounds a portion of each transverse bolt.
MOUNTING DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AN ACCESSORY ON A STRAPPING STRIP AND ASSEMBLY OF SUCH A DEVICE AND OF A STRAPPING STRIP
The mounting device for mounting an accessory on a strapping strip comprises a support strip comprising a fixing area for an accessory, a slide system for retaining the support strip relative to the strapping strip while allowing the support strip to slide along the strapping strip and a locking system for blocking this sliding in a given position of the support strip relative to the strapping strip.
Cylindrical Cargo Container Construction
A method of manufacturing a cylindrical cargo container includes: providing a plurality of rigid panels together formable into a cylindrical shell; forming a first semi-cylindrical shell from a first set of the panels; forming a second semi-cylindrical shell from a second set of the panels; forming the cylindrical shell from the first semi-cylindrical shell and the second semi-cylindrical shell; forming a collar conformably encircling the cylindrical shell; constricting the collar to compress joints formed at abutting edges of pairs of adjacent panels; rolling the cylindrical shell and collar to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to a lower position, and welding an inside seam of the joint when at the lower position; removing the collar from the cylindrical shell; and rolling the cylindrical shell to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to an upper position, and welding an outside of the joint when at the upper position.
MULTI-DIRECTIONAL VISE DEVICE AND METHOD OF CUTTING MULTI-DIRECTIONAL SPECIMENS USING THE SAME
A multi-directional vise device is provided, the device comprising: a first body part and a second body part facing each other and spaced apart from each other by a certain gap in a second direction vertical to a first direction while having the first direction, which is a length direction of the specimen, as a reference axis; at least one jig part disposed in each portion of the first body part and the second body part that accommodates the specimen; and a compression part adjusting the gap between the first body part and the second body part, wherein at least one of the first body part and the second body part has at least a portion of its upper side that includes a cut part formed in the second direction.
