Grip vise
A vise includes a stationary jaw at one end of a rail and including a moveable jaw member having a clamping surface, and a lever having a cam at one end engaged with the jaw member; and a moveable jaw on the rail and including a moveable member engaging with a limit member at the other end of the rail; a jaw element having one end secured to the moveable member and having a clamping surface at the other end, an internal moveable wedge secured to the clamping surface of the jaw element and having first and second inclined surfaces; two opposite arms pivotably secured to the moveable member wherein one ends of the arms contact each other and engage with the first and second inclined surfaces respectively, and each arm has a cavity on an outer edge; and two urging blocks complimentarily engaging the arms respectively.
Retrieval Device
A retrieval device may include a first plate and a second plate which may be movably coupled to a body via a first body fastener and a second body fastener, respectively. An upper plate connector and a lower plate connector may each be movably coupled to the first plate and a second plate with the lower plate connector positioned between the upper plate connector and the body fasteners. An optional tensioner may tension portions of the first plate and a second plate together. Upper gripper(s) may be coupled to the upper plate connector and lower gripper(s) may be coupled to the lower plate connector. The device may be movable between an open position, in which the upper gripper(s) and lower gripper(s) are positioned relatively distally from each other, and a closed position, in which the upper gripper(s) and lower gripper(s) are positioned relatively proximate to each other.
Inserts for shielding aluminum vehicles from clamps
An upper, aluminum insert is positioned between an upper, non-aluminum jaw of a clamp and an aluminum part of a vehicle, and a lower, aluminum insert is positioned between a lower, non-aluminum jaw of the clamp and the aluminum part of the vehicle to shield the aluminum part of the vehicle from the jaws to prevent galvanic corrosion.
PILERS
Pliers contains: a first clamp part, a second clamp part, and a spring. The first clamp part includes a first head, a first handle, and two first rotatable connection portions formed between the first head and the first handle. The two first rotatable connection portions respectively have two symmetrical orifices and two first inclined faces. The second clamp part includes a second head, a second handle, and two second rotatable connection portions formed between the second head and the second handle. The two second rotatable connection portions have two central shafts orifices accommodated in the two symmetrical orifices respectively, and the two central shafts orifices have two guide faces corresponding to the two symmetrical orifices respectively; wherein the spring abuts against the first handle and the second handle so that the first head and the second head clamp an object.
CLAMPING DEVICE
A clamping device includes first and second clamping components and at least one elastic component. The first clamping component includes a first clamping portion and two first pivot portions connected to the first clamping portion. The second clamping component includes a second clamping portion and two second pivot portions connected to the second clamping portion. The second pivot portions are pivotally connected to the first pivot portions respectively, such that the first and second clamping components are capable of rotating relative to each other to present a first state and a second state. The elastic component is connected to the first clamping component and the second clamping component. When the first and second clamping components are in the second state, the elastic component provides an elastic force for the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion to be restored to the first state to clamp an object.
CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A clamp assembly and method of use. Disclosed examples of the clamp assembly include an annular base, at least three movable fingers, a plurality of first finger fasteners, and a plurality of edge fasteners. The annular base defines an opening. A workpiece can be positioned in the opening. The movable fingers have first and second opposite end portions, and each of the movable fingers has substantially the same size and shape. Each first finger fastener pivotally couples the first end portion of one of the movable fingers to the base to enable movement of the movable finger in the opening. The first end portions of the movable fingers are equidistantly spaced from one another. Each edge fastener is coupled to the second end portion of one of the movable fingers and configured for movement between a clamping position and a release position.
Teachable Gripper Sensor
A gripper (10) has a body (16) with a cylinder section (18) with a fluid driven powering assembly (24) with a rod (28). At least one jaw member (34) is secured with the rod (28). The at least one jaw (34) clamps a workpiece. A target (42) is coupled with the rod (28). The target (42) is positioned externally of the cylinder section (18). A sensor assembly (14) senses the target. The sensor assembly receives the target and coupled with the gripper body cylinder portion (18).
Apparatus and method for gripping a tubular member
Apparatus for gripping a tubular member where the apparatus includes a die and a die holder, and where at least one of the die or the die holder, on its portion facing the other, has at least two axially formed ridges that complementary fit in valleys in the other of the die or the die holder. The ridges have a larger bottom width than top width. The centre lines of the die ridges are substantially parallel at a distance, and the die, when unengaged, is radially movable between abutment of the die ridges to the die holder and abutment of the die to at least one stop member of the die holder.
Apparatuses and methods for applying pressure to edge surfaces
An apparatus for applying pressure to at least a portion of an edge surface, which bridges opposing faces of a workpiece, comprises a frame, a first roller, a second roller, a rotation-control member, a first biasing member, and a second biasing member. The first roller and the second roller are coupled to the frame, are rotatable relative to the frame about a first pivot axis, and are translationally fixed relative to the frame. The rotation-control member is coupled to and is movable relative to the frame, controlling rotation of the first roller and the second roller relative to the frame. The first biasing member is coupled to the first roller and to the second roller and is configured to operate in tension. The second biasing member is positioned, in compression, between the frame and the rotation-control member.
