Two-stage fastener installation
A method and apparatus for installing a fastener. A reactive structural force is generated in a first direction during installation of the fastener. A new reactive structural force is generated in a second direction opposite to the first direction during the installation of the fastener.
Pneumatic crankshaft clamp assembly
A pneumatic crankshaft clamp assembly for retaining a crankshaft during processing having a housing for supporting the crankshaft and a clamp arm pivotally coupled to the housing for movement between a clamp position and an unclamp position. The clamp arm engaging the crankshaft to retain the crankshaft in contact with the housing in the clamp position and be spaced apart from the crankshaft in the unclamp position. The proximal end of the clamp arm having a cam follower. The assembly further having a pneumatic piston disposed within a piston cylinder of the housing. The pneumatic piston is moveable in response to pneumatic pressure. The piston having a cam formed thereon engaging the cam follower of the lifting arm such that the lifting arm moves in response to pneumatic pressure.
Pivotable vise, clamping attachments for the vise, and related methods
Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to a pivotable clamp or vise. For example, the vise may clamp or secure a workpiece at a suitable position and/or orientation.
COMPRESSION JAW ASSEMBLY UNIT
A compression jaw assembly unit for a compressing device for compressing tubular metal parts includes a compression jaw carrier (17) and a compression jaw (16), provided at the compression jaw carrier (17), with a compressing surface (18) that is oriented essentially facing away from the compression jaw carrier (17) and is curved transversely to a compression jaw longitudinal direction (L.sub.B) in a compression jaw transverse direction (Q.sub.B). The compression jaw (16) includes a fixed compression jaw segment (22), which is fixed to the compression jaw carrier (17) and provides a compressing surface segment (24), and at least one movable compression jaw segment (26, 28) providing a compressing surface segment (30, 32). The at least one movable compressing surface segment (26, 28) can be moved in a direction of movement (B) in relation to the fixed compressing surface segment (22) against the prestressing action of a prestressing device (42).
Pressure adjusting device of quick fixture
A pressure adjusting device of a quick fixture includes a main member, a fixed member fixed to the main member, a movable member movably connected to the main member, and an elastic member received in the main member and having opposite end connected to the fixed member and the movable member to urge the movable member. With the pressure adjusting device the quick fixture can fix various workpieces with different thicknesses.
Clamping device
A clamping device, embodiments of which are well suited to securing the tail of a fish, is provided. The device includes one or more clamp arms with actuation bars fixed thereto for causing the clamp arms to pivot when the actuation bars are pushed against an object to be clamped. A locking mechanism locks the clamp arms into the clamped position.
Fixture for fixing steering knuckle in machining process
The present disclosure provides a fixture for fixing a steering knuckle in a machining process, the fixture comprises a bottom plate, wherein the bottom plate is machined with two bottom plate windows that are configured to accommodate machined parts of the steering knuckle; three groups of pressure claws and three groups of locating pins are fixed on the bottom plate, and the pressure claws and the locating pins are respectively fixed to the through holes of the bottom plate; and the three groups of pressure claws are respectively arranged at three vertexes of a triangle.
Utility fixture for creating a distributed utility network
A method and apparatus for distributing a number of utilities. The number of utilities may be coupled between a number of utility sources and a utility fixture. The number of utilities may be coupled between the utility fixture and a mobile system.
Press tool systems and methods
A press tool employs a drive system that allows a first portion to be displaced relative to a second portion. A drive surface is supported by the second portion. A receiving member defines an engaging surface and a receiving cavity. The receiving member is supported by the first portion along a drive axis extending through the drive surface. Operation of the drive system displaces the drive surface relative to the receiving member.
Clamping apparatus
A clamping apparatus includes a shaft; a base body that is adjustable to different positions, e.g., heights, along the shaft; a clamping leg arranged to pivot into a first clamping position and a second clamping position; an arm that includes, and extends between, a first end portion connected to the base body and a second end portion connected to the clamping leg; and a handle configured to be moved (a) into a first position that locks the position of the base body relative to the shaft and provides a clamping force to the clamping leg, and (b) into a second position in which the base body is free to be shifted into different positions along the shaft, where moving the handle into the second position releases the clamping force.
