LOCKING ASSEMBLY
A locking assembly for locking a portable electronic device to a work surface. The locking assembly comprises a clamp assembly including an elongated bar that extends between a first end and a second end. The clamp assembly further includes a first jaw and a second jaw movable along the elongated bar for clamping to a work surface between the first and second jaws. A connector extends from a first connector end that is pivotally connected to the locking assembly to a second end that can be connected to the portable electronic device. The connector securing the portable electronic device to the work surface while permitting it to pivot with respect to the locking assembly.
Ball joint press tool with coupleable adapters
A ball joint press tool having at least one spring-plunger engageable with at least one adapter to releasably couple the adapter to the tool allowing for single handed placement of the tool regardless of orientation of the tool. The ball joint press tool has at least one adapter-receiving aperture and the spring-plunger has an adapter-engagement head, such as a ball, spring biased to at least partially extend into the adapter-receiving aperture on the tool. An adapter having a connecting projection defining a spring-plunger engaging detent, such as a groove, is insertable into the adapter-receiving aperture wherein the adapter-engagement head of the spring-plunger engages with the spring-plunger engaging detent.
Clamping device
A clamping device includes a first, a second clamping member, a first, a second connecting rod, and an elastic member. The first clamping member includes a first side and a second side opposite to each other. The second clamping member includes a third side and a fourth side opposite to each other. The first connecting rod is pivotally disposed between the first side and the third side. The second connecting rod is pivotally disposed between the second side and the fourth side. The elastic member is connected between the third side and the first connecting rod. The elastic member provides a restoring force to make the first connecting rod rotate relative to the second clamping member, to drive the second connecting rod and the first clamping member to rotate, so that a distance between the first and the second clamping member is shortened to clamp an object.
Modular machine tool work holding system
A work holding clamp system for securing a workpiece to a work surface having a work surface T-slot arranged along an ‘X’ axis, comprised of a base plate secured to the work surface and having a plurality of T-slots, each of the plurality of T-slots are aligned with one of a plurality of axis including at least the ‘X’ axis and a ‘Y’ axis that is transverse to the ‘X’ axis. The work holding clamp system includes a workholding element selected from the group consisting of wedge clamps, pivot clamps and workstops, that may be secured within a T-slot of the plurality of T-slots provided in the base plate.
Modular machine tool work holding components
A workholding clamp for securing a workpiece to a work surface comprised of a fixed body secured to the work surface and having a first inclined surface; a sliding jaw having a second inclined surface residing against and parallel to the first inclined surface, a clamp face and at least one obround opening; and at least one clamping fastener residing within the at least one obround opening and being tightened to cause the second inclined surface to slide against the first inclined surface. A workholding pivot clamp for securing a workpiece to a work surface, and a work stop for reliably locating a workpiece relative to a work surface are also described.
SUBSTRATE CARRIER TO CONTROL TEMPERATURE OF SUBSTRATE
An apparatus for processing a semiconductor substrate, such as an optical device, is described herein. The apparatus includes a substrate carrier which is configured to enable a processing chamber configured to process larger substrates to process a smaller substrate without retrofitting the processing chamber. The substrate carrier includes a carrier base and a clamp ring. The carrier base includes a plurality of gas channels formed within a substrate pocket. The clamp ring is disposed on the carrier base and over the substrate and holds the substrate in place. The clamp ring is either weighted or configured to be help by a separate chamber clamping mechanism.
VISE APPARATUS
Example implementations relating to a mechanical vise are disclosed herein. In one particular implementation, a first jaw piece includes a first slip surface a second jaw piece includes a second slip surface. The first slip surface may be moveable with respect to the second slip surface, while in slip contact with the second slip surface, to at least in part apply a force against a workpiece.
Rail support system and method of use
A rail support system includes a clamp side having a channel with a first side and a second side, the first side and second side to engage around a post; an extension extending away from the second side; a plate engaged with the extension; a tightening screw engaged with the plate and further engaged with the first side; tightening the tightening screw pulls the first side and the second side together; a cradle side having an arm attached to the channel and extending away therefrom; and a cradle support attached to and extending away from the arm; the cradle support is to receive a rail; the clamp side is to secure to post while the cradle side is configured to engage with the rail such that the post and the rail are held in position for welding together.
CLAMP FOR ELONGATE OBJECTS
A clamp comprises first and second clamp halves, each comprising an elongate object receiving portion and a portion of a clamp retention mechanism. The first and second elongate object receiving portions are sized and shaped to cooperatively hold an elongate object at a desired position when the first and second clamp halves are fastened together. The first and second portions of the clamp retention mechanism are sized and shaped to (a) engage each other when the first and second clamp halves are moved towards each other in a first direction, (b) fasten the first and second clamp halves together without requiring use of a tool to engage the retention mechanism, and (c) disengage from each other when the first and second clamp halves are moved away from each other in a direction orthogonal to the first direction to unfasten the first and second clamp halves without use of a tool.
Multi-purpose utility clamp
Embodiments of a multi-purpose utility clamp may include a component engagement member having a clamp head and a handle. A guide arm is operatively connected to the component engagement member at a first end of the guide arm. A first post is operatively connected to a second end of the guide arm to move linearly relative to the guide arm. A second post at an end of the support post is disposed generally perpendicular to the first post and has a first end connected to the first post and a second end, distal the first end, and the second end is disposed opposite the clamping head. The second post has a generally trapezoidal cross-sectional shape along a length thereof between the first end and the second end, and the second post is configured to be inserted into a channel having a corresponding trapezoidal shape and formed in an auxiliary component to be clamped to another component.
