APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING A GAP
20220176501 · 2022-06-09 ·

A method and apparatus for maintaining a fixed distance between two cabinets during installation are provided. An elongated rail with two stops and two clamps are used. The stops are fixed to the elongated rail with opposing faces placed the fixed distance apart. The assembly is placed between the cabinets and a clamp is used to pinch a cabinet wall of each cabinet against a stop. The cabinets are installed and the apparatus is removed. In some embodiments a second apparatus may be used, one at the top of the cabinets and one at the bottom.

Clamp Locking Mechanism

A clamp release mechanism is provided. The clamp includes a body, a shaft slideably coupled to the body, a fixed jaw, and a moveable jaw coupled to the shaft. A locking component actuates between a locked position and an unlocked position. When in the locked position, the locking component biases the shaft to remain stationary with respect to the body. The clamp includes a securing component pivotally coupled to the locking component, and a biasing element that biases the securing components towards the shaft.

CABLE TRAY HOLD-DOWN

The present disclosure is related to a hold-down for a cable tray. The hold-down may be configured for high-wind situations. The hold-down includes a support clamp for clamping onto a support, and a hold-down arm for holding the cable tray on the support.

Clamping device

The clamping device includes a pair of clamping members arranged in positions to clamp a rib (target portion to be clamped) of a workpiece and having contact surfaces to make contact with the rib; supports configured to support each of the pair of clamping members so as to be able to advance and retreat along a prescribed advancing/retreating direction relative to the rib, and to operate each of the pair of clamping members so as to clamp the rib when advancing; guiding units configured to make each of the pair of clamping members movable in a prescribed positioning direction due to a reaction force occurring when the pair of clamping members clamp the rib; and coil springs (biasing members) configured to elastically bias the pair of clamping members in a direction opposite the positioning direction, thereby capable of positioning the workpiece with high precision without damaging the workpiece.

SCREW CLAMP
20230150095 · 2023-05-18 ·

A screw clamp has two clamping arms, between which a workpiece is clamped. In a clamping process, at least one of the clamping arms is moved by an axial movement distance by a clamping unit such that a clamping force acting against the workpiece is built up, which clamping unit can be manually rotationally actuated about an axis of rotation. The clamping unit is a threaded drive containing a radially outer adjustment sleeve which has an internal screw thread and a radially inner threaded stroke element, the external screw thread of which is in thread engagement with the adjustment sleeve internal screw thread and which can be brought into force-transmitting connection with the movable clamping arm. In the clamping process, the adjustment sleeve is rotationally actuated, whereby the threaded stroke element, together with the clamping arm connected thereto, is moved against the workpiece by the axial movement distance.

Cable tray hold-down

The present disclosure is related to a hold-down for a cable tray. The hold-down may be configured for high-wind situations. The hold-down includes a support clamp for clamping onto a support, and a hold-down arm for holding the cable tray on the support.

Clamp with nested reversible interlocking assemblies

The present invention relates to a work holding and clamping device, which increases the usable span to almost twice its stored length. This clamping device has an inner and outer assembly which are nested, and each assembly is made of a rectangular tube with a jaw affixed to one end. The inner assembly contains a locking mechanism to allow for length adjustment. When arranged so that the jaws are on the same side of the respective assemblies, the clamp is capable of a span that is almost equal to the length of the inner assembly. When arranged so that the jaws are on opposite sides of the respective assemblies, the clamp is capable of a span that is almost equal to the sum of the length of the inner assembly and outer assembly.

Pliers head and pliers with good suitability

A plier head with good adaptability and a plier are provided. The plier head includes a left plier head and a right plier head, a left accessory and a right accessory matched with each other. The left accessory is detachably connected to the left plier head, the right accessory is detachably connected to the right plier head, and the right accessory and the left accessory cooperate with each other to form at least one cavity. At least two use states include a first state and a second state. When the plier head is in the first state or the second state, a position of the at least one cavity can be changed.

CHUCK FOR GRIPPING AND MOVING CYLINDRICAL BODIES, IN PARTICULAR FITTINGS AND PIPE SEGMENTS, AND APPARATUS INCLUDING THE CHUCK

A chuck for gripping and moving cylindrical bodies, in particular fittings and pipe segments, including a main body defining an axis of rotation and a plurality of jaws fastened to the main body; the jaws are movable between a position of maximum closure, in which they are at the minimum distance from the axis of rotation, to a position of maximum opening, in which they are at the maximum distance from the axis of rotation; the chuck has an adjuster means for adjusting the positions of maximum closure and maximum opening and a movement means for moving the jaws between the positions of maximum closure and maximum opening; the chuck includes a fixing means adapted to allow the axial fixing of the chuck to a support member and the connection of the chuck to the support member so that they are angularly rotatable with respect to each other.

Clamp for retaining a block of material on a machining table, clamping device comprising said clamp and method of clamping a block of material, onto a machining table

A clamp to retain a block of material on a machining table including a body having a first face, a first front face oriented toward the machining table and the block of material when in use, a nose projecting relative to the first front face having a second front face parallel to the first front face, first and second edges connecting the first and second front faces, and at least one internally threaded hole opening at least partly at the level of the second front face with an axis forming a non-zero angle with the first face and the second front face, at least one grub screw screwed into the internally threaded hole having a pointed free end configured to penetrate into the block of material when in use when screwing in the grub screw, and a connecting system to demountably connect the clamp to the machining table.
