TOOL WITH TEETH IN SLOT
Disclosed is a tool, such as pliers, having reduced spacing between teeth extending into a slot on a handle of the tool. This provides improved adjustability and a larger capacity to hold work pieces. The design, spacing of the adjustment teeth and length of the slot provide more adjustment positions and allow more teeth to be engaged at all positions. In an example, the teeth are spaced at about 0.066 inches and the tool has a maximum jaw opening of about 2.28 inches.
AXIAL PLIERS
A tool having gripping jaw teeth that provide a contact pattern for engaging fasteners on-axis. The gripping teeth are formed in a depression disposed at a distal end of a jaw and are oriented at an angle that turns away from a major axis of the tool or an axis that is orthogonal to a plane formed by a front face of the jaw to increase the gripping force that can be applied to the fastener before the tool disengages or slips against the fastener.
Multi-function firefighting tool
A plier having multiple functions includes a fixed leg having a pivot point, a fixed handle on a first side of the pivot point, and an upper jaw on a second side of the pivot point. The plier further includes a moveable leg rotatably coupled to the fixed leg at the pivot point and having a moveable handle on the first side of the pivot point and a lower jaw on the second side of the pivot point, the lower jaw defining a spanner extending away from the upper jaw.

PIPE PLIERS
The pipe pliers includes a first clamping body, a driving handle, and a clamping element. The first clamping body includes a body portion. The body portion includes two side plates and is formed with two guiding toothed grooves. A receiving groove is defined between the two side plates. Each side plate is formed with a sliding groove facing the other side plate. The driving handle is slidably arranged at the two guiding toothed grooves and is pivotable with respect to the first clamping body. The driving handle has a protrusion. The clamping element is slidably arranged at the two sliding grooves. The clamping element has a recess. The protrusion is rotatably inserted into the recess. When clamping a workpiece, the clamping element slides linearly.
