Adjustable Locking Plier Device
An adjustable locking plier device includes a handle, a locking clamp having a straight jaw member and an angled jaw member, each jaw member having a length with proximal and distal ends. The straight jaw member has no points of directional change along its length, the angled jaw member has at least one point of directional change along its length, and each jaw member has a contact portion for receiving clamping force. The contact portion of the straight jaw member has at least twice the surface area of that of the angled jaw member and is included in the body of the straight jaw member as a shared surface. Both jaw members are pivotally engaged with the handle at their proximal ends, and the clamp is configured to lock within an infinite range bounded by a fully open and a fully closed position.
RETENTION APPARATUS FOR PORTIONS OF ADJUSTABLE WRENCH
The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus for use with an adjustable wrench to limit the displacement of a broken portion of the adjustable wrench relative to the remaining parts of the adjustable wrench when the wrench fractures.
Locking Pliers with Improved Adjustment Member
A hand tool includes a first jaw, a first handle fixed to the first jaw, a second jaw, and a second handle pivotally coupled to the second jaw, a link member, and an adjustment member. The adjustment member is operable to axially move a first end of the link member to vary a distance between the first and second jaws. The adjustment member includes an engagement surface engageable with the first end of the link member, a shank in threaded engagement with a bore in the first handle, and a flange extending from the shank opposite the engagement portion. The flange includes a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and an elongate opening extending through the first and second sides.
Locking pliers
An example pair of locking pliers comprises a first gripping head, a second gripping head, a first handle and a second handle, the first gripping head being mounted to the first handle, the second gripping head being pivotably mounted to the first handle and pivotably mounted to the second handle via a first joint. The pair further comprises a single connecting rod, a sliding mechanism and a locking mechanism, one end of the connecting rod mechanism being pivotably mounted to the second handle via a second joint, the other end being pivotably mounted to the sliding mechanism via a third joint, the sliding mechanism and the locking mechanism being slidably mounted to the first handle.
Locking terminal clamp cable assembly
A locking terminal clamp cable assembly including a pair of locking pliers, an adapter screw threaded into the locking pliers and including a threaded bore, an adjuster screw threaded into the threaded bore and configured to adjust the locking pliers, a cable lug having a ring portion positioned between the adapter screw and a jam nut, and a cable connected to the cable lug.
Hand Operated Gripping Tools
The main fixed handle optionally incorporates two swivel out arms, which can form part of a three-legged base. When operated thus, the jaws and moving handle point generally upwards from the formed base, the moving handle can now be operated by one hand leaving the other free to position the workpiece. The moving handle can incorporate a further locking switch that can be utilised in both a switchable locking position or non-locking position upon a sprung toothed strut between the handles, at least one of which further incorporates a curved resilient portion in order to provide useful sprung closure of the parallel moving jaws upon the workpiece in the locking method. A lanyard can be optimally attached to the swivel out arm ends to provide the user with a chest mounted portable vice.
Locking Pliers with Movable Torque-Increasing Jaw Section
Pliers are provided. Pliers include an upper handle, a lower handle, an upper jaw coupled to the upper handle, and a lower jaw coupled to the lower handle. In general, the upper jaw includes workpiece engagement surface, such a first set of teeth configured to engage a workpiece, and the lower jaw includes a workpiece engagement surface, such as a second set of teeth and a third set of teeth. The lower jaw opposes the upper jaw such that the first set of teeth faces the second set of teeth and the third set of teeth. At least a section of the workpiece engagement surface of the lower jaw is movably coupled to the lower jaw such that it moves relative to the lower as torque is applied to a workpiece, thereby increasing torque applied to the workpiece.
Locking pliers
A locking pliers includes a fixed handle. A fixed jaw is connected to the fixed handle. A movable jaw cooperates with the fixed jaw and includes movable and fixed pivoting regions. A movable handle is pivotally connected to the movable pivoting region. A movable pivot unit includes a pivot pin engaging with the fixed handle and the fixed pivoting region, and a pivot hole is disposed in one of the fixed handle and the fixed pivoting region and configured and dimensioned to loosely receive the pivot pin. The pivot hole has a first diametrical size and the pivot pin has a second diametrical size not greater than 0.8 times the first diametrical size. A biasing member engages with the fixed handle and the movable jaw.
