PLIERS TOOL WITH GRIPPING COMPONENTS
A pliers tool for gripping fasteners and other objects includes a pair of jaws and a pair of handles which are operable to open and close the jaws. A pair of grip members are mounted to the jaws and are positioned to engage a fastener when the jaws are closed around the fastener. Each grip member has a base and a plurality of nodules which are spaced along the base.
Wire-stripping and crimping pliers with forced lock
Wire-stripping and crimping pliers twist a stranded cable end with bars projecting into a pliers mouth at free ends of pliers jaws and crimp a cable end region with a ferrule using a ram guided in a cassette in a pliers legs crossing region and running into a die due to a closing force upon pressing the legs together, to compress the ferrule in the die. First and second moldings on the jaws project into the mouth. A forced lock has a pawl and a toothed segment on the moldings preventing the pliers from opening without the ram previously running against the ferrule. The toothed segment on the first molding has a course corresponding to a movement curve of the jaws. The pawl on the second molding is movable by a spring but fixed in position. The first and/or second molding is formed in one piece with the bars.
Gripper tool with multi-function attachments
A multi-functional hand tool that has releasable tool attachments that affix to a pair of articulating handles that provide for gripping, rotating, twisting, cutting, pounding, and performing other functions commonly done using a number of different tools. The multi-functional hand tool having a locking mechanism that provides for manipulating a workpiece, without damage or marring of the workpiece.
FISHING PLIERS
A fishing pliers comprising a upper clamping member having a first gear fixed after the front end of the upper clamping member; a lower clamping member having protrusion extending upwardly, to form a jaw opening for holding fish mouth with the protrusion extending downwardly positioned at the front end of the upper clamping member and a second gear fixed after the front end of the lower clamping member, which is engaged with the first gear; an upper handle, the upper clamping member pivoting to the front end of the upper handle through the drive shaft of the first gear, and the lower clamping member pivoting to the front end of the upper handle by the drive shaft of the second gear; and an lower handle, the lower clamping member pivoting to the front end of the lower handle at a first pivot point of the back end of the lower clamping member; herein, the lower handle moves with respect to the upper handle, to drive the second gear of the lower clamping member rotating with respect to the first gear of the upper champing member relatively, and to implement contact or separation between the front end of the upper clamping member and the front end of the lower clamping member. The fishing pliers disclosed in the present invention is comfortable and convenience, and allows the upper clamping member and the lower clamping member to reach a appropriate opening angle.
Tube Clamping Hand Tool
A handheld clamping tool is provided that is adapted to clamp to and secure rounded work pieces, including lengths of tubing without damaging the same. The tool comprises a locking clamp embodiment and a plyer clamp embodiment, whereby the tool includes a pair of jaws with one or more semicircular apertures therealong that align to form rounded openings when the jaws are brought together. In one embodiment, the tool includes a movable jaw and a fixed jaw, along with a handle and grip that are lockable in a static state. Along the upper portion of the locking embodiment is a vice block in which the locking clamp can be held by a bench vice and the tool can support a tube without interaction by the user. In another embodiment, the tool comprises a pair of handles, a pair of jaws, and a fixed pivot point between the handles.
Tire beading locking tool and method for making same
A tire bead locking tool is provided. The tool may include a body; a first jaw connected to the body; a second jaw pivotally connected to the body and located to oppose the first jaw; a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the first and second jaws in a relative position with respect to each other; and a resilient member attached to one of the first and second jaws and located between the first and second jaws. A method of manufacturing may also be provide. The method may include: forming a body; forming a pair of jaws on the body wherein at least one of the jaws pivots with respect to the body; attaching a resilient member to at least one of the jaws; and forming a locking mechanism that can selectively lock the jaws in a position; and extending a handle further from the jaws than the locking mechanism.
Locking pliers
A locking pliers preferably includes a fixed jaw, a movable jaw, a fixed handle, an adjusting screw, a biasing spring, a toggle link, a power triangle link, at least one tie link and a movable handle. The fixed jaw, the movable jaw, the fixed handle, the adjusting screw and the biasing spring are preferably taken from an Irwin item no. 502L3 vise grips, but other parts may also be used. A second embodiment of the locking pliers preferably includes a fixed jaw, a movable jaw, a fixed handle, an adjusting screw, a biasing spring, a toggle link, two power links, at least one tie link, a release link and a movable handle. The fixed jaw, the movable jaw, the fixed handle, the adjusting screw and the biasing spring are preferably taken from an Irwin item no. 502L3 vise grips.
Fairing saver
A fairing saver is a device to protect aerodynamic fairings on a semi-truck from damage while it is being towed backwards. The device utilizes two (2) pairs of clamp style locking pliers. However, in lieu of conventional jaws, each jaw surface on the present Fairing Saver consists of a hard plastic pad, each measuring three inches (3) by six inches (6). These pads are backed by a steel plate which also provides a pivoting pin that attaches the pad to the pliers. These pliers are then attached to the fairing surfaces of the truck. An attachment clip, welded to each of the pliers, is then used with a ratchet strap or turnbuckle, to keep the sides of the fairing from moving about during the towing process. The locking plier nature of the device means that it can adapt to any thickness of fairing and locks in place with the ultimate in holding power.
Locking pliers
A hand tool including a first jaw, a first handle fixed to the first jaw, a second jaw, and a second handle pivotally coupled to the second jaw. The hand tool further includes a link member having a first end pivotally coupled to at least one selected from the group of the first jaw and the first handle, and a second end pivotally coupled to the second jaw.
Locking pliers and other gripping tools
A tool comprising an outer body with a first end and a second end, the outer body defining a longitudinal recess therein and having at least two connector link pivot points at the first end thereof, an inner body slidably received within the longitudinal recess of the outer body and having a core head extending out of the first end of the outer body, at least two jaws, each jaw having an inner pivot point and an outer pivot point, wherein the inner pivot point of each jaw pivotally connected to a corresponding core head pivot point on the core head, a connector link for each jaw, each connector link having a first end pivotally connected to the outer pivot point of the jaw and a second end pivotally connected to a corresponding connector link pivot point on the first end of the outer body, and an actuating assembly for moving the inner body relative to the outer body, whereby movement of the core head toward the outer body causes the jaws to move toward each other, and movement of the core head away from the outer body causes the jaws to move away from each other.
