20220226969 · 2022-07-21 ·

A hand tool includes a body provided with a mounting portion. The mounting portion includes six first recessed portions, six second recessed portions, and six locking faces. Each of the first recessed portions includes two grooves. Each of the second recessed portions includes two first arcuate faces and a second arcuate face. Each of the locking faces has a planar shape and is arranged between two of the second recessed portions. Each of the first recessed portions is arranged on one of the locking faces. The locking faces define an imaginary hexagonal portion having six sides coinciding with the locking faces respectively. The mounting portion of the body is mounted on a screw member. The screw member has six ribs received in the second recessed portions. Each of the ribs rests on one of the first arcuate faces.

A telescopic socket includes an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and a jointing ring. The outer sleeve includes at least one abutting ball, plural first concave portions, and plural first protruding portions. The inner sleeve is sleeved by and slidably connected to the outer sleeve and includes at least two engaging holes, plural second concave portions, and plural second protruding portions. The second protruding portions are slidably connected to the first concave portions respectively, and the first protruding portions are slidably connected to the second concave portions respectively. The jointing ring is movably connected to the outer sleeve and includes an abutting part and an accommodating part, and the abutting part optionally abuts against the abutting ball. By controlling the jointing ring, the inner sleeve can be slid or positioned relative to the outer sleeve, and the length of the telescopic socket can be changed.

APPARATUS FOR REMOVING LUG NUTS ON A VEHICLE TIRE

An apparatus for removing lug nuts for changing a tire on a vehicle has a bracing structure and at least three arms connected to the bracing structure. A first arm extends upward and a second arm, adapted to operate as a footrest, extends outward and both arms are positioned such that one may stand on the second arm to generate extra torque while grasping the first arm for stability. A third arm is adapted to receive a socket and is oriented along the socket's axis of rotation. All arms are collapsible for storage.

A socket having an offset drive keyway for transmitting torque to asymmetric fastener heads to facilitate their rotation by applying torque across the fastener end to minimize stress on the fastener end-fastener shaft joint.

Torque socket tool

A torque socket tool includes a main body, a driving portion, an abutting member, an axle, and a sleeve member. The main body defines an axial direction. The abutting member is non-rotatably and slidably arranged in the main body. The sleeve member is rotatably sleeved onto the main body. A threaded section drives the abutting member to slide along the axial direction for adjusting the predetermined torque when the axle is rotated by rotating the sleeve member.

SOCKET DRIVE IMPROVEMENT

Sockets, for example, hexagon sockets, dodecagonal sockets, and splined sockets, that have inner surface geometries adapted to engage a flank of a fastener at a point away from a corner of the fastener. In general, the sockets engage the flank of the fastener at a distance of about 30 to 60 percent of half a length of the flank away from the corner of the fastener. This increases the strength and life of the socket, reduces a risk of the fastener becoming locked or stuck in the socket, and reduces the risk of the fastener being stripped or the socket slipping on the fastener.

A socket includes a first and a second sleeve members. The first sleeve member has a first end for connecting to a driving tool and a second end having a first connecting portion for sleeving onto a first fastener, and has an internal space and an internal circumferential wall. The second sleeve member is movably inserted into the internal space and has an external circumferential wall and a second connecting portion connected together. The second connecting portion is for sleeving onto a second fastener whose size is different from a size of the first fastener. One of the external and the internal circumferential walls is tapered from the first end toward the second end to form a gap. The other one of the external and the internal circumferential walls has a restriction unit extending into the gap.
