The inventions relates to a tool 10 that is adapted to loosen or fasten connector nuts located in areas of reduced space. The tool 10 is particularly useful because it allows manipulating basin nuts 40 located between the lower portion of the basing and piping that provides water to the faucets that are attached to the basin via the nut. The tool comprising a body having a first section adapted to receive the fastening means and a second section adapted to receive the torque, the first section and the second section being adapted for attachment to each other to transfer the torque to the first section, wherein the first section is adapted to allow piping to be located adjacent the second section during use of the tool to allow the first section to receive the fastening means. The tool may be configured as a socket. The invention also relates to a kit including the sockets.

A monkey wrench includes a body, a first jaw, a second jaw and a press member. The second jaw is linearly movable relative to the body. The first and second jaws each have an operation member which has second teeth defied in on side thereof. The second jaw has first teeth on the top thereof and the press member has third teeth. When pivoting the press member to engage the third teeth with the first teeth, the second jaw is secured. A resilient member is connected to the second jaw which is movable when the press member is pivoted in the opposite direction to disengage the third teeth from the first teeth.

The knob includes an inner surface and an opposed outer surface, the outer surface having a gripping portion, the inner surface having geometry configured to match the outer surface of the wingnut and a set screw extending through both the outer surface and the inner surface of the knob, the set screw configured to abut the wingnut when tightened wherein the knob is removably connected to the wingnut upon loosening of the set screw.

An adjustable socket assembly includes a collet having a first end, a second end, and a perimeter wall. The second end has a receiving aperture therein. The collet is divided into a plurality a plurality of sections. A sleeve has a bottom end that receives the collet. The sleeve has an interior surface that tapers inwardly and abuts the sections to move toward each other as the sleeve moves toward the second ends of the sections. A biasing member extends through a top end of the sleeve and engages each of the sections. The biasing member is actuated to bias the sleeve downward to close together the sections and engaged the valve actuator.
