TOOL FOR USE IN PLACES WITH RESTRICTED ACCESS
A reaction arm mounting assembly comprises a first part and a second part, the first part being configured for attachment to a power tool and the second part is mounted on the first part. The mounting of the second part on the first part: permits sliding motion between the first and second part along an axis common to the first and second parts in a first sliding region and prevents rotation between the first and second member in the first sliding region; and permits rotation between the first and second members in a second sliding region.
WRENCH FOR USE WITH MAKING AND BREAKING A DRILL STRING
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a wrench for loosening or tightening a threaded joint of two drill-string components. The wrench is mountable on a drill assembly. The wrench comprises: a jaw assembly with opposing jaws for engaging the drill-string component therebetween; a first actuator for actuating the pair of opposing jaws between an engaged position and a disengaged position; a second actuator configured to pivot the jaw assembly and configured for applying a torque when engaged with the drill-string component; a third actuator configured to extend and retract the jaw assembly in a first plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the drill assembly when the wrench is mounted on the drill assembly; and a fourth actuator for actuating the wrench in a second plane substantially perpendicular to the first plane. Embodiments of the present disclosure also relate to drilling systems comprising the wrench.
Torque wrench
A torque wrench with a ratchet and a drive for the ratchet includes a ratchet housing with two opposed side walls which have a specified distance to each other and are connected with each other. A through opening extends transversely through the two side walls, which is designed to accommodate a ratchet rotary body, wherein its axis of rotation extends parallel to the axis of the through opening. The ratchet rotary body includes a fastening means for fastening a supporting device to the torque wrench, by means of which the torque wrench can be supported perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the ratchet rotary body.
Multiplex Bolting Tool
A torque wrench for multiple bolts or nuts comprises multiple drive spindles that are arranged annularly around a center and are equipped or able to be equipped at the end with respective torque-applying tools, and a ratchet drive, associated with each drive spindle and driven by means of a hydraulic piston drive, for driving the drive spindles. In addition to the ratchet drive, a locking ratchet for locking the drive spindle acts on each drive spindle to keep it from turning back when exercising a return stroke movement of the drive ratchet. The locking ratchets are arranged in a locking bracket, which is penetrated by the drive spindles. The locking bracket has means for loosening the locking ratchets.
PNEUMATIC CONTROL DEVICE
A pneumatic control device includes a base seat unit, a cylinder unit and a time-delay unit. The cylinder unit is mounted the base seat unit, and is able to drive rotational movement. The time-delay unit is mounted to the base seat unit, and includes sequentially interconnected delay switch, flow-limiting valve, pressure accumulator and a control valve. The delay switch is operable to move between an action position whereat the cylinder unit drives the rotational movement, and a non-action position. When the delay switch is moved to the non-action position, the cylinder unit keeps driving the rotational movement for a period of time and then stops.
TORQUE-ADJUSTABLE PNEUMATIC TOOL
A torque-adjustable pneumatic tool comprises a body, a trigger assembly, and a torque-adjusting module. The body has an outlet tunnel. The trigger assembly is mounted to the body. The torque-adjusting module is mounted to the body, communicates with the outlet tunnel, and has a silencer, an adjusting bolt, and a piston lid. The silencer has a groove and an exhaust portion communicating with the groove. The exhaust portion has a threaded hole and at least one exhaust hole that are separately disposed through the exhaust portion. The adjusting bolt is movably mounted to the threaded hole of the silencer from a side away from the body. The piston lid is fixed to the adjusting bolt and is able to enter the groove.
APPARATUS FOR TIGHTENING THREADED FASTENERS
An apparatus for use with a hydraulically driven torque tool for tightening or loosening threaded fasteners including an internal energy storage assembly for automatic piston return is disclosed. In one embodiment, the internal energy storage assembly operates by a pneumatic fluid which compresses during an advance stroke of a piston assembly of the tool and expands during a retract stroke of the piston assembly of the tool. In such embodiment, the internal energy storage assembly includes a hydraulic assembly and a pneumatic assembly. Advantageously it: has a higher energy density than a mechanical spring; does not have geometric limitations as the pneumatic fluid may be contained in internal volume available of the tool; and increases bolting speeds as the return stroke no longer requires hydraulic fluid to force back the piston; has reduced tool size by elimination of one hydraulic connection and location of the remaining connection that improves accessibility of the tool into the work space; requires a simplified hydraulic pump and controls; and increases bolting system reliability.
TORQUE WRENCH SYSTEM HAVING MULTIPLE TORQUE STATIONS
An improved multi-bolt and nut torque wrench for installing and removing bolts or nuts from flanged joints or the like which includes a plurality of torque stations having a plurality of high torque wrenches for engaging the heads of the bolts or nuts during a high torque phase of removal or installation; a plurality of low-torque motors operatively engaged with the wrenches for rotating the bolts or nuts during the low torque phase of removal or installation; a source of hydraulic fluid for driving the low-torque motors during the low-torque phase, and driving the high-torque wrenches during the high torque phase; and a mechanism for switching between the two phases depending on the torque needed.
POWERED RATCHETING TORQUE WRENCH
A power tool includes a housing defining a grip portion, a motor having a motor drive shaft, a drive assembly coupled to the motor drive shaft and driven by the motor, an output assembly coupled to the drive assembly and having an output member that receives torque from the drive assembly, causing the output member to rotate about an axis, and a transducer assembly disposed between the grip portion and the output assembly to measure the amount of torque applied through the output member, when the motor is deactivated, in response to the power tool being manually rotated about the axis.
APPARATUS FOR TIGHTENING THREADED FASTENERS
Apparatus for use with a tool assembly in operations of tightening or loosening threaded fasteners about an axis are disclosed, and in one example includes: a lower clamp assembly; an upper clamp assembly; a reaction adaptor assembly; and a spring assembly formed between the upper clamp assembly and the reaction adaptor assembly. Advantageously an operator can tighten or loosen all fasteners without having to change the initial setup of the apparatus. The lower clamp assembly eliminates the need for extra operators and heavy and bulky equipment to hold the apparatus near the fasteners. The upper clamp allows the operator to rotate the apparatus around with ease. The spring assembly stabilizes and eases vertical height adjustment of the apparatus. The reaction adaptor substantially negates reaction turning forces of the tool assembly during the operations. Drive knobs provide easy alignment of and quick and safe mounting of the tool assembly on the fasteners. Bolting operations about an axis are completed faster, cheaper and with little or no risk of operator injury.
