Method and tool for setting blind rivet elements
A method for setting blind rivet elements in which the setting of the respective blind rivet element introduced into a pre-hole of the work piece and/or the formation of a rivet collar takes place in a setting stroke (SH) through the permanent deformation of a section of the blind rivet element by subjecting an end of the blind rivet element to a traction force by a traction element of a setting tool while simultaneously supporting another end of the blind rivet element on a support part of the setting tool counter to the traction force.
METHOD AND TOOL FOR INSTALLING A FASTENER
A tool is provided for installing a fastener, having a sleeve and a pin threadably received into the sleeve, into an opening of a structure. The tool includes a frame, a clamp mounted to the frame such that the clamp is configured to move longitudinally relative to the frame, the clamp being configured to grab a pintail of the pin of the fastener, a linear actuator operatively connected to the clamp such that the linear actuator is configured to drive linear movement of the clamp relative to the frame, a wrench mounted to the frame such that the wrench is configured to rotate relative to the frame, the wrench being configured to grab the pintail of the pin, and a rotary actuator operatively connected to the wrench such that the rotary actuator is configured to drive rotation of the wrench relative to the frame.
HANDHELD PULLING AND COMPRESSING DEVICE
The invention relates to a hand-held pulling and compression device for driving inter-changeable pulling and pressing tools, with a drive unit having a battery-operated electric motor and a scew drive with a threaded spindle connected to the electric motor and mounted rotatably on a housing body and a threaded nut mounted rotatably on the threaded spindle and non-rotatably on the housing body via a bearing unit. In order to provide a hand-held pulling and compression device which is suitable for driving inter-changeable pulling and pressing tools, it is provided that the hand-held pulling and compression device has a coupling unit which is connected to a tool holder and is connected to the threaded nut in such a way that pulling and compressive forces resulting from the direction of rotation of the threaded spindle are transmitted to the coupling unit.
METHOD OF INSTALLING A STRUCTURAL BLIND FASTENER
A two-piece, one-sided-installation fastener system may have an internally-threaded sleeve having a shank and a sleeve head. The fastener system may include an externally-threaded core bolt having a frangible driving provision and a core bolt head.

METHOD FOR CONFIGURING A MANDREL OF A RIVETING TOOL FOR BLIND RIVET ELEMENTS AND RIVETING TOOL
A method for configuring a hand-held riveting tool operated by an electric drive to set a blind rivet element in a setting operation. The hand-held riveting tool includes a mandrel configured to perform an axial movement so as to perform the setting operation of the blind rivet element, and a control unit which monitors the axial movement of the mandrel. The mandrel includes a front end position to which the blind rivet element is fitted in a form-locked manner and/or a force-locked manner. The method includes axially moving the mandrel from the front end position into a rear end position which is assumed at a beginning of the setting operation, and automatically adjusting the rear end position of the mandrel based on a parameter provided to the control unit.
METHOD FOR REMOVING A BLIND RIVET ELEMENT FROM A RIVETING DEVICE
A method for removing a blind rivet element from a riveting device. The riveting device includes a connecting device, a mandrel, a rotary drive which rotates the connecting element around a rotational axis of the connecting element, and a longitudinal drive which axially drives the connecting element relative to the rotational axis. The blind rivet element is screwed onto the mandrel of the riveting device. The mandrel is connected to the connecting element on the riveting device. The method includes starting an emergency program via a user input on the riveting device. The emergency program includes the steps of rotating the connecting element with the rotary drive in a rotating direction to separate the connection between the mandrel and the connecting element, and, upon reaching a default, stopping the rotation of the connecting element with the rotary drive.
