APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISASSEMBLING A PIPE JOINT
20230120330 · 2023-04-20 ·

A method for disassembling a pipe joint is provided. A radially expandable sleeve positioned on a shaft is inserted into a distal open end of a pipe of the pipe joint. A sleeve nut on a threaded portion of the shaft is tightened against the sleeve to urge the sleeve to longitudinally slide along a tapered distal end of the shaft in a distal direction. The sleeve radially expands as the sleeve slides in the distal direction along the tapered distal end of the shaft. The sleeve is radially expanded until an interference fit is formed between the sleeve and the pipe. A force is then exerted upon the shaft to urge the shaft in a proximal direction and remove the pipe from a pipe fitting of the pipe joint.

Load coupling
11466716 · 2022-10-11 ·

In a first aspect there is disclosed a load coupling (10). The load coupling (10) comprises a first coupling member (12) operatively associated with an actuator. The first coupling member has a first coupling formation (16). The load coupling (10) further comprises a second coupling member (14) adapted for operative coupling with the first coupling member (12). The second coupling member (14) includes an attachment formation (15) operatively adapted to attach the second coupling member (14) to a target component to which force generated by the actuator is to be transferred. The second coupling member (14) defines a second coupling formation (24) operatively associated with the first coupling formation (16) of the first coupling member (12). The first coupling formation (16) has (i) a secure orientation relative to the second coupling formation (24) in which the first coupling member (12) is secured to the second coupling member (14) and (ii) a release orientation relative to the second coupling formation (24) in which the first coupling member (12) is adapted to be removed from the second coupling member (14).

WEDGE DRIVER AND METHOD THEREFOR

A wedge driver and method therefor is presented. A wedge driver can be operably coupled to different ends of a link joiner to drive a wedge therebetween to form a single link. The wedge driver can also drive the wedge out of the link joiner. The present disclosure provides the benefit of allowing the safe and effective removal of the link joiner by preventing violent or forceful decoupling of a link joiner. The wedge driver can include a trunk, a first prong, a second prong, a bolt, and a driver. The driver can be spring enabled, such that the driver can recede into the trunk as the bolt egresses the trunk. A bolt of the wedge driver can push a driver out of the trunk to axially drive the wedge into (or out of) a link joiner without rotating the wedge.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PULLING A STAKE FROM A SURFACE
20220333403 · 2022-10-20 ·

A stake removal tool configured for removing in-ground stakes, the stake removal tool comprising an elongated member defining a proximal end and a distal end, a carriage, and a lift system configured to drive the carriage along a longitudinal direction of the elongated member. The carriage comprises a chassis and a pivoting member configured to pivot about a fulcrum and defining first and second engagement members. As the lift system engages the carriage to displace it downwardly in a longitudinal direction of the elongate member, the first and second pivot members may be forced to pivot thereby engaging and dislodging a stake.

Rod pulling device.

A rod pulling device for pulling a rod anchored in surrounding material, the rod pulling device comprising: a substantially elongated device body; a carriage movable along the device body; an actuator operatively coupled to the carriage for selectively moving the carriage along the device body; and a gripping assembly mounted to the carriage for selectively gripping the rod; wherein the gripping assembly includes a pair of jaws each defining a respective gripping surface for gripping the rod, the gripping surfaces facing each other and defining a gap therebetween for receiving the rod, the jaws being movable between open and closed configurations, wherein the gap is narrower in the closed configuration than in the open configuration.

PLIERS WITH ADJUSTABLE ANGLE
20230108471 · 2023-04-06 ·

Pliers with adjustable angle include a handheld portion, a grip portion, and an angle adjustment device. The handheld portion includes a first handle and a second handle. The grip portion is pivotally disposed on the handheld portion and includes a first jaw and a second jaw. The angle adjustment device is disposed between the handheld portion and the grip portion. The angle adjustment device optionally refrains the grip portion from rotating with respect to the handheld portion, or allows the first jaw and the second jaw to pivot with respect to the handheld portion for adjusting the angle.

DEVICE FOR MOUNTING/DISMOUNTING A CONNECTING PIN USED FOR AN END-TO-END ASSEMBLY OF TWO FRAME ELEMENTS
20230150074 · 2023-05-18 ·

A mounting/dismounting device for mounting/dismounting a connecting pin used for an end-to-end assembly of two frame elements includes a mounting/dismounting rod having a longitudinal axis, a head adapted to cooperate with a screwdriver, and a rod body having a proximal portion and a threaded distal portion. JOINT PRESS ADAPTER
20230191572 · 2023-06-22 · ·

A slip-on adapter that is adapted to be coupled to existing adapters that have already been developed. The slip-on adapter couples to existing adapters by positive retention on either the outside diameter or inside diameter of the existing adapter. For example, the slip-on adapter can include an O-ring that grips the outside diameter of the existing adapter that it is slipped onto. The slip-on adapter can also be used as a “flip adapter” with different geometries at both ends for use with two different size ball joints. This allows for less expensive adapters for new size ball joints by connecting to existing adapters, rather than requiring full machining of a new adapter.
