Puller Tool and Adapter
A puller tool comprises a cross bar with a central portion having a through hole defining a first axis; a forcing screw configured to extend through the through hole; and an adapter detachably attached to the cross bar and having a threaded hole defining a second axis for the forcing screw, and wherein the first axis and second axis are substantially aligned. The adapter comprises a threaded hole configured to receive the forcing screw and defining a second axis, wherein the first axis and second axis are substantially aligned; a base portion containing the threaded hole and arrangeable adjacent a first axial side of the cross bar; at least a first wall portion extending away from the base portion and arrangeable adjacent to a first lateral side of the central portion of the cross bar, and wherein the adapter is detachably attachable to the cross bar.
Split nut valve seat puller
The invention is an improved tool for pulling a valve seat from a valve in a fluid end. The invention replaces the standard threaded nut and stem commonly used in such tools with a split nut comprising a plurality of removeably engageable split nut segments placed within a base and a stem configured to be used with the plurality of removeably engageable split nut segments. In the preferred embodiment, each split nut segment possesses a center-facing surface relative to the longitudinal axis of the invention comprising a set of horizontal v-grooves suitable to be disposed against complementary v-grooves of the stem. The base permits the plurality of split nut segments to be placed in an engaged position permitting the v-grooves of the split nut segments to removeably engage the v-grooves of the stem securely or to be placed in a disengaged position. The base containing the split nut segments is durable enough to be used in oil field work but lightweight enough to be used by individual or groups of workers safely.
PULLER
A puller includes a collar, claws, a synchronizer and an abutting element. The collar includes slots and pivotal connectors located corresponding to the slots. The claws are pivotally connected to the pivotal connectors. Each of the claws includes a protuberance movable in and along a corresponding one of the slots. The synchronizer includes a receiving portion for receiving the protuberances. The synchronizer is movable in the collar between an opening position and a closing position. In the opening position, the synchronizer opens the claws by the protuberances. In the closing position, the synchronizer closes the claws by the protuberances. The abutting element is extensible from the collar.

A puller includes a collar, claws, a synchronizer and an abutting assembly. The collar includes slots and pivotal connectors located corresponding to the slots. The claws are pivotally connected to the pivotal connectors. Each of the claws includes a protuberance movable in a corresponding one of the slots. The synchronizer includes a receiving portion for receiving the protuberances. The synchronizer is movable in the collar between an opening position and a closing position. In the opening position, the synchronizer opens the claws by the protuberances. In the closing position, the synchronizer closes the claws by the protuberances. The synchronizer is extensible from the collar.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRELOADING A BEARING
A system for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft and a press mechanism in fluid communication with a source of fluid and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The press mechanism includes a switch having a base and a piston in communication with the fluid such that an increase in a pressure of the fluid results in the piston extending upwardly from the base and a decrease in the pressure of the fluid results in the piston retracting toward the base. The switch includes a lower proximity sensor and a higher proximity sensor. The piston is configured to extend upwardly from the base past the lower proximity sensor and to trip the higher proximity sensor. The switch is configured to control the increase in the pressure in response to the piston tripping the higher proximity sensor.
Apparatus and method for removal of a main shaft bearing from a gate crossing mechanism using a bearing removal tool
There are disclosed apparatuses and methods for removal of a shaft bearing from a gate crossing mechanism. A bearing support includes support apertures and is positioned about the shaft bearing. A bearing ring includes ring apertures. A bearing tool includes keys in which each key has a shape allowing insertion through a ring aperture and a support aperture. The bearing tool shifts each key inward toward the shaft bearing. The bearing ring is rotated in a circular direction relative to the keys. The bearing tool withdraws the shaft bearing from the bearing support.
Apparatuses and methods for removing a component
An apparatus is provided for removing a component from a device, where the component includes a cylindrical portion and a shoulder adjacent the cylindrical portion. The apparatus includes a base, a puller and a shaft. The base includes a first mount, a second mount and a bridge extending between and connected to the first mount and the second mount. The first mount and the second mount are each configured to engage with the device. The puller includes a forked flange configured to abut against the shoulder of the component when the cylindrical portion of the component is within a channel of the forked flange. The shaft includes a threaded portion mated with a threaded aperture in the bridge. A distal end portion of the shaft is rotatably connected to the puller.
Press tool
A press tool is provided, including a base, a threaded shaft and an attachment member. The base has a head portion, a body portion and a foot portion. The head portion has a threaded hole. The foot portion has a through hole. The threaded shaft is movably screwed with the threaded hole. The threaded shaft has a first press portion configured for pushing an inner member received in a bushing disposed within a seat body. The pushing assembly is detachably disposed on the first pushing portion. The attachment member has a second press portion configured to press the bushing.
Systems and methods for preloading a bearing and aligning a lock nut
An apparatus for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft. A press mechanism is coupled to the attaching member and is configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. An optical sending unit is configured to output a high intensity light to allow a user to locate a shaft slot of the shaft to align the press mechanism relative to the shaft when the attaching member connects to the shaft.
Hybrid tool pins
A re-useable, easily removable tool pin features a non-stick outer surface with a harder inner core configured to be gripped by a removal tool for extraction of the tool pin, without damage, from a mold and from composite plies that may have cured in contact with the tool pin. The tool pin prevents insertion into the mold such that the extractor tool is not attachable to the tool pin. A system includes the tool pin, a mold for forming a molded part, the mold having holes for insertion of tool pins, and an extractor tool adapted to grip the tool pin for removal from the mold and molded part. The extractor tool can be ergonomically designed for easy removal of the tool pin by hand. Such tool pins are adapted for production of parts from composite materials in many industries, including aerospace, automotive, transportation, agricultural, and energy.
