Power Tool
A hydraulic tool includes a tool head and a moveable piston coupled to the tool head. The hydraulic tool head includes a plurality of jaws, which are operable to open and close for performing work on a workpiece. The hydraulic tool also includes a motor operable to drive the moveable piston to close the plurality of jaws to a closed position at which the work on the workpiece is completed. The hydraulic tool further includes a position sensor configured to detect when the plurality of jaws are at the closed position and responsively generate a sensor signal indicating that the plurality of jaws are at the closed position. Additionally, the hydraulic tool includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signal from the position sensor. The controller is configured to operate the motor based on the sensor signal that the controller receives from the position sensor.
Pressing pliers network and method for pressing a workpiece
The invention relates to a crimping pliers network (39) which comprises pressing pliers (2), an electronic control unit (31) (in particular a smartphone or a tablet) as well as a data storage device (37) (in particular a cloud storage (38)). According to the invention, a die (3, 4) of the pressing pliers (2) comprises an identifier (18, 19) which can be captured by a capturing device (21) of the pressing pliers. Data (48) from the data storage device (37) and being specific for the captured identifier (18, 19) is provided to the control unit (31). The data might be a desired pressing force curve (49), a desired pressing displacement curve (50) and/or information concerning a workpiece for which the dies (3, 4) are designated. In this way, it is possible to increase the process safety when using the crimping pliers (2). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for pressing a workpiece.
Crimping pliers
Crimping pliers for pressing cable shoes or the like onto electrical conductors, have two crimping jaws which can be pivoted towards each other, a crimping die being mounted rotatably in each crimping jaw, the crimping die being formed with multiple different crimping depressions over a circumference in relation to a rotation axis, and a crimping die held between two jaw plates in relation to the rotation axis. The crimping dies can be shifted relative to the jaw plates into a clamping position and a release position when the crimping pliers are assembled ready for use.

The installation tool further comprises a jaw assembly operatively coupled to the gear assembly and the frame assembly. The jaw assembly comprises a plurality of jaw members which are configured to receive rotational input from the gear assembly. The installation tool comprises an electronic control unit and an intuitive graphic interface having a touch display. The installation tool ensures precise closing position of the jaw assembly to the tenth of a millimeter.
Hand crimp tool having wire inserter
A hand crimp tool includes a handle having upper and lower handles having upper and lower handgrips hand squeezed to close the hand crimp tool. The hand crimp tool includes a head having upper and lower jaws defining a crimp zone therebetween. The lower jaw includes an anvil holding a terminal and the upper jaw includes a crimper crimping the terminal. The hand crimp tool includes a wire inserter coupled to the head having a carriage movable between an advanced position and a retracted position. The wire inserter has a wire clamp holding a wire in the carriage and the wire inserter moves the wire relative to the head to position and hold the wire in the terminal during crimping of the terminal between the anvil and the crimper.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ACTUATING A TOOL AND METHOD FOR MAKING A DEVICE
Devices and methods for actuating a tool and methods for making such devices are provided. In one example, the device includes a piston subassembly. The piston subassembly includes a cylinder having a cavity, a head disposed in the cavity to move between first and second positions, and a rod coupled to the head and extending away from the second position. A holding subassembly is coupled to the piston subassembly. The holding subassembly includes a first holding member coupled to the rod and configured to hold a first leg of the tool and a second holding member spaced apart from the first holding member. The second holding member is configured to hold the second leg of the tool. When the head moves from the first position towards the second position, the rod moves the first holding member towards the second holding member.

The invention relates to a crimping pliers die (1) comprising two die half units (2, 3). The die half units (2, 3) are guided by a guide (51) relatively to each other over the crimping stroke. Crimping surfaces (40, 41) of the die halves (5) are formed by front surfaces of engaging ribs (37). Preferably, the guide (51) comprises a guiding rod (43) formed by an end-sided thickening (42) of a rib (37) and the guide (51) comprises a guiding recess (50) formed by a guiding recess section (45) which connects two ribs (37) to each other.
The crimping pliers die (1) can be used for crimping pliers which can e. g. be used for crimping wire end sleeves.
