DRIVING TOOL
20200391366 · 2020-12-17 · ·

A driving tool includes a tool body, a flywheel, a driver, a pressing mechanism and a solenoid. The solenoid has an actuation part configured to linearly move in a specified direction from an initial position when the solenoid is activated. The pressing mechanism includes a holder turnably supported around a rotation axis relative to the tool body, and a roller rotatably supported by the holder. The holder is turnable between a first position in which the roller is apart from the driver and a second position in which the roller abuts on the driver and presses the driver toward the flywheel to thereby enable transmission of the rotational energy to the driver. The actuation part is configured to turn the holder from the first position to the second position while moving from the initial position.

Combined fixing tool

A fixing tool including a nose for guiding of fixing elements and a striking plate for striking of the fixing elements, wherein the fixing tool is configured to fire a fixing element of a first type and a fixing element of a second type with dimensional and/or geometric characteristics which are different from those of the fixing element of the first type.

Pusher mechanism for powered fastener driver

A powered fastener driver comprising a housing, a nosepiece coupled to the housing and extending therefrom, a driver blade movable within the nosepiece between a ready position and a driven position, and a pusher mechanism coupled to the nosepiece for individually transferring collated fasteners in a canister magazine to a driver channel in the nosepiece in which the driver blade is movable. The pusher mechanism includes a feeder arm and a linkage positioned between the feeder arm and the driver blade. The feeder arm is engageable with individual fasteners in the nosepiece for sequentially pushing each of the fasteners into the driver channel in response to movement of the feeder arm toward the driver channel. The linkage is movable to advance the feeder arm toward the driver channel in response to contact with the driver blade as the driver blade moves from the driven position toward the ready position.

Nosepiece assembly with a passage for ejecting debris

A nosepiece assembly includes a first nosepiece portion including a fastener guide. The fastener guide has a support ledge to position a first fastener of a collated strip of fasteners in a drive channel. The nosepiece assembly also includes a second nosepiece portion connected to the first nosepiece portion opposite to the fastener guide with the first and second nosepiece portions defining the drive channel therebetween and defining a debris ejection passage therebetween. The debris ejection passage extends between the drive channel and a debris ejection aperture on an exterior surface of the nosepiece assembly.

Birds beak elastomer fastener magazine feeder

A combination nail dowel gun for efficient tilt up construction includes a hollow gun body comprising a handle portion and an upper portion. A pneumatic hammer is coupled within the gun body and has a barrel extending through a barrel aperture. A projectile feed belt is disposed within a canister, through a belt feed track, and into a muzzle of a projectile feeder. The projectile feed belt comprises a plurality of projectiles and a projectile alignment matrix. The plurality of projectiles is alternating dowels and nails and is coupled to the projectile alignment matrix. The plurality of projectiles is loaded into the barrel by the belt feed track and is then fired through the barrel by the pneumatic hammer. A trigger is coupled to the bottom side of the upper portion adjacent the handle portion. The trigger is in operational communication with the pneumatic hammer to fire the plurality of projectiles.

Magazine for a fastener tool

A magazine for a fastener tool comprising a first guideway for heads of fastener elements of a first type, the first guideway extending in a direction (A) and being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of first type near a front edge extending substantially parallel to the direction (A); and comprising a second guideway for heads of fastener elements of a second type, the fastener elements of the first type having a different length from that of the fastener elements of second type, the second guideway being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of second type near the front edge. The magazine further comprises a poka-yoke configured to prevent inserting of the fastener elements of second type in the first guideway.

Handheld fastener installation guide

A handheld guide for advancing and installing a decking fastener with an elongate track with a rail and an advancement member. The advancement member carries a pivoting pawl with an engagement surface for advancing fasteners forward through the track to an installation position with a frontmost fastener aligned with a screw guide for driving a screw through the frontmost fastener. The rail has a ramp transitioning to a cliff and a lower ledge such that the frontmost fastener is maintained forward of the cliff above the ledge in the installation position. The pawl pivots to disengage from the fasteners when the advancement member moves rearwardly along the track.

WORK ACCESSORY FOR STAPLER
20200130160 · 2020-04-30 ·

A fastener driver includes a housing, a magazine coupled to the housing containing fasteners therein, and a nosepiece at least partially defining a fastener driving track into which fasteners from the magazine are individually received. A driver blade is movable from a retracted position toward an extended position during which a fastener in the fastener driving track is discharged from an opening in the nosepiece. A work accessory including a guide portion is configured to align an article with the nosepiece opening prior to attaching the article to a workpiece during a fastener driving operation, and a separate puller portion configured to apply a tensile force to an article to be attached to a workpiece during a fastener driving operation. The work accessory is adjustable relative to the nosepiece to selectively position the guide portion or the puller portion proximate the nosepiece opening.
