DRIVING TOOL
20220371169 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A driving tool comprises a displacement allowing mechanism that allows a wheel to be displaced in a radial direction of a rotation shaft. The driving tool further comprises a displacement restricting mechanism that restricts the wheel from being displaced in the radial direction of the rotation shaft. When a driver is to start being moved upwards by an engagement of a first engagement portion with an engaged portion by rotation of the wheel, a displacement restriction state of the wheel caused by the displacement restricting mechanism is released, allowing an entirety of the wheel to be displaceable in the radial direction of the rotation shaft due to the displacement allowing mechanism.

WORKING CYLINDER FOR POWER TOOL WITH PISTON LUBRICATING SYSTEM
20220371167 · 2022-11-24 ·

A fastener driving tool with a working cylinder and a piston, the piston outer surface having a lubricant-saturated foam material that stores and dispenses lubricant into the piston-cylinder wall interface, thereby increasing the performance and lifespan of the tool. Another embodiment discloses a two-part piston in which the bottom portion is made of metal and absorbs the main mechanical loading forces of the piston drive and return strokes, and the top portion is made of a non-metallic material that has surfaces that act as sliding bearings against the inner wall of the cylinder.

Driver

A driver including: an ejection part to which a fastener is supplied; a driver blade which moves from a first position toward a second position and drives the fastener into a driven member; and a rack provided to the driver blade. The driver further includes: a rotary component engaging with the rack and moving the driver blade from the second position to the first position; and a lock plate engaging with the rack. The driver blade moves from the second position to the first position while the rotary component rotates once, the rotary component is released from engaging with the rack after the driver blade moves from the second position to the first position, and moves from the first position to the second position, and the lock plate is engageable with the rack when the driver blade stops before reaching the second position from the first position.

Fluid damper and driving tool

A fluid damper includes a cylinder tube portion which is filled with a fluid, a piston which is provided so as to be movable in an inner portion of the cylinder tube portion and whose moving speed is controlled with resistance of the fluid, and a biasing member which expands and contracts in accordance with a position of the piston and which applies a force corresponding to an expansion and contraction amount of the biasing member to the piston. The resistance of the fluid at a time the piston moves is changed in accordance with the position of the piston.

Nail stop block structure for stopping nails and restraining

A novel nail stop block structure for nail stop and restraining comprises a nail head and a striker hole disposed in the nail head. The front orifice of striker hole is located in the front end face of nail head. A nail head cylinder is disposed on the left lower end of middle part of the nail head. A mobile hole is disposed in the center of upper surface of the nail head cylinder connected to the inner space thereof. An assorted nail feeding piston is disposed in the nail head cylinder. A piston rod coaxial with the mobile hole is disposed on the center of upper surface of the nail feeding piston. The upper end of the piston rod passes upwards through the mobile hole.

Lifter assembly for a powered fastener driver

A powered fastener driver includes a driver blade movable from a top-dead-center (TDC) position toward a driven or bottom-dead-center (BDC) position, a gas spring mechanism for driving the driver blade toward the BDC position, a lifter assembly having a rotary lifter for returning the driver blade from the BDC position toward the TDC position, and an arm upon which the rotary lifter is supported. The fastener driver also includes a motor which, in a first position of the rotary lifter, provides torque to the rotary lifter to return the driver blade from the BDC position toward the TDC position. The fastener driver further includes a brake mechanism which, when activated, redirects torque from the motor away from the rotary lifter and toward the arm, causing the lifter assembly to move from the first position toward a second position in which the rotary lifter is not engageable with the driver blade.

HANDHELD SETTING TOOL
20220355451 · 2022-11-10 · ·

A handheld setting tool for driving a nail or bolt into a substrate, comprising: a drive, preferably a gas spring drive or an electrodynamic drive, which drives an actuator, which actuator is used to drive the nail or bolt into the substrate; characterised by: a decoupling device which at least partially decouples a first movement process of a first moving part or piston in the actuator, driven by the drive, from a second movement process of a second moving part or piston in the actuator so as to drive the nail or bolt into the substrate.

GAS SPRING FASTENER DRIVING TOOL WITH REMOVABLE END CAP FOR PERFORMING MAINTENANCE OR SERVICE

A cordless, hoseless fastener driver tool with a compressed gas pressure chamber has a removable end cap that is securely attached to the tool via four screws. Removing each screw in succession releases the compressed gas in a controlled manner, which then allows a user to safely remove the end cap to access the interior of the tool. The user can perform a maintenance procedure and service the interior mechanical portions of the tool, such as repairing or replacing a driver, a piston, and/or a piston stop, as well as the cylinder sleeve, or other internal components. Once the end cap is removed, the components listed above can be removed (and replaced) without the use of any further tools.

Lift mechanism for framing nailer

A fastener driving tool that includes a lift mechanism for moving the driver from a driven position to a ready position. In one embodiment, the lift mechanism is mounted to a movable pivot arm, and the pivot arm is slightly rotated to allow the driver to drive a fastener; when the driver is to be lifted in a return stroke, the lifter subassembly is moved back into engagement with the driver, and multiple lifter pins contact protrusions in the driver to lift the driver from the driven position to the ready position. In another embodiment, the pivotable lifter floats along the driver, and “releases” from contact only to prevent a jam or otherwise undesirable operating condition involving the driver; otherwise, the lifter remains nested in the tool's guide body during all operating states. A solenoid-operated latch also is provided to prevent the driver from moving downward (for driving a fastener).

Driver, striking mechanism, and moving mechanism

A driver capable of suppressing increase in a load torque of a motor when a striking mechanism is moved by the torque of the motor against a force of a first moving mechanism is provided. The driver includes a striking mechanism 12 movable in a first direction B1 and a second direction B2 opposite to the first direction B1 and a first moving mechanism configured to move the striking mechanism 12 in the first direction B1 to strike a fastener, and the driver further includes a motor, a second moving mechanism 45 rotated by the torque of the motor and configured to move the striking mechanism 12 in the second direction against a force of the first moving mechanism, and torque suppression mechanisms 45A to 45H configured to suppress increase in the torque of the motor when the striking mechanism 12 is moved in the second direction B2.
