Multipurpose Tool
20210252684 · 2021-08-19 ·

A multipurpose hammer tool with a balanced weight. The multipurpose hammer comprises a lighter weight head attached to one end of an ergonomically configured handle. A foot claw is attached to the opposite end of the ergonomically configured handle. The foot claw is weighted to balance the weight of the multipurpose hammer so that the head may be lighter requiring less force to swing the hammer. The foot claw is curved to pull out nails with leverage. The head comprises a hexagonal face for striking nails with a pair of magnetic nail catches on the top and bottom. A foot claw end of the head has straight tines for pulling nails close to a wall or corner where a curved claw would not fit.

In one example, a system includes a hammer extender having a head formed from an upper layer, a lower layer and a side layer. The hammer extender includes an elongated body portion having a solid core elongated portion and a hollow core elongated portion. One end of the solid core elongated portion is connected to the head, and the other end is connected to the hollow core elongated portion. The hollow core elongated portion can receive and guide a nail during impact. The system may include a hammer having a hammer handle with a hollow interior to store the hammer extender.

Clip tool

A tool for assisting in the installation and/or removal of clips. The tool can include a handle and a tool head attached to the handle. The tool head includes a clip abutment portion having at least one surface operable to substantially abut at least a portion of a clip. A magnet in the tool head is configured to retain the clip proximate to the clip abutment portion such that a user can utilize a tool to apply a clip to an article. The tool head can also include a clip extrication element to facilitate removal of installed clips.

Impact tools and control modes

An impact power tool includes a housing, a motor, a controller, an output member configured to be rotated when the motor is energized, and an impact mechanism configured to rotationally drive the output member. The impact mechanism is configured to selectively apply rotational impacts to the output member when a torque on the output member exceeds a torque threshold. The controller is configured to control the motor during a first phase of operation with open loop control and a baseline conduction band and advance angle setting when a sensed tool operation parameter is one of above or below a threshold value. The controller is configured to control the motor during a second phase of operation with closed speed loop control and an increased conduction band and advance angle setting when the sensed tool operation parameter is the other of above or below the threshold value.

The present invention is an improved framing hammer. In one embodiment, the improved framing hammer has two opposing heads. One head being flat and the other head being waffle faced. Each head has a slot running horizontally that is able to hold a nail by a magnet in the slot. The slot further acts as a fulcrum point. On opposite sides of the head, there is a mini-claw and on the other side is a v-slotted extractor mounted to the cheek.
